I did not make the statement saying that he was one, I only wanted to know what your thoughts were on that belief that some people have, especially due to the fact that you are in the UK.
Now I know your point of view about Blair , thank you , and once again : I was not trying to stir .... otherwise I think I could flame much harder ...
oh and seeing you seem to think I'm taking GWB's defense .... hummm prove it .... cause I made no statements in his defense.

I think its pathetic that as soon as someone makes a point on these forums that somehow goes against the americans, whether there rite or wrong u get 10+ pages of Americans crying about it. Its ridiculous.
now when u can see past ur "american pride" and can basically do as Bedrock suggested in the first post and not go off on one at everything that doesnt agree with america, then COME BACK. If u dont want to do this then hit the ignore button on my name.

i never started cryin about the Ol US of A, and i never said anything about an ass kicking...:rolleyes:
frankly i dont care if you agree with America, i guess you all think we are 'sensitive' because we feel the need to respond angrily to people that have no ulterior motive beyond riling us up with inflammatory remarks that have no factual basis - that only extend as far as our president and stupid things that he has done.
sure, i can ignore you, but that doesnt solve the problem of your not contributing anything to the community here, because 99% of everyone here still has to be confounded.
all i want of others here is to be constructive, which americans seem to be attempting to do, while everyone else calls George Bush an idiot or a monkey or something stupid.
but if you truly, undoubtably have nothing better to do than with people, be my guest- go recruit Az or something - you are both good at pissing people off that cant respond in long, coherent passages...

I haven't read the whole thread (just page 1 so far).
As most of you know I too am (very) quilty of the America bashing.
I too am one of those people that has never even been to the US before.
I might not like the way some citizens behave, how ignornat some people are, howver I do like music coming from your country, movies, books, magazines and so on.
I'm trying to say that although it may have things I don't like, it also offers a lot of things I DO like.
Besides it is the home to many many TAs that I absolutely respect and adore. People that I definitely want to meet, people I look up to and people from whom I enjoy reading their intelligent posts.
I guess all I'm trying to say is..I'm sorry if I hurt any of your feelings and for being ignorant myself and stuck up etc...
I'd love to come over, tour your country and have you prove my anti-sentiments towards the US wrong :)
(and I'm not kidding here)

yah me and Proxi had a PM war over this a LOONG time ago. im sure im not one of the TAs she loves, but i just wish more people could get over the fact that Bush sucks and treat the US TAers like we are just average, intelligent people....
and not patriotic crazies- cause if you think even ABT, who is in the military here, is unnecessarily patriotic - he is a completely reasonable person, not a 'crazy.'
