and funnily enuf, ur not in that 95%. Still feel good? |
No I don't even know you but I can infer from your comments that you would spend 99% of the time flaming them about how retarded they are being and then spend that other 1% blissfully ignoring whatever feedback they would give about your mismanagement.
And no I'm not part of that 95%. But you know what? I'm starting to feel better and better sinking to your level and just saying whatever the hell I feel like without any reasoning at all. |

| In retrospect mikey mike perhaps we should avoid a long drawn out flame war and return to that "95%" before things get too ugly. As much as I would love to argue, I don't have teh time to devote towards a serious argument haha. |

Well, actually since that whole thing I've really come to appreciate you biz :) It's always a good thing when you get to "talk things over" in PM and come to the conclusion you've both made mistakes etc. And we did that eh :) You're cool :p

Why do some people consider a critical arguement about the weaknesses in the American political system as 'American Bashing'?
are some people that jaded that they cannot see past a paragraph of words and understand the point of the argument rather than immediately going off on tangents saying "Oh! Don't Bash Us! We'll kick your ass!"

I guess all I'm trying to say is..I'm sorry if I hurt any of your feelings and for being ignorant myself and stuck up etc...
I'd love to come over, tour your country and have you prove my anti-sentiments towards the US wrong :)
(and I'm not kidding here)
later ;) |
We in the US dont hate the world, you have no reason to fear the US. Foriegners are very interesting people, some have some very interesting stories. I'm pretty open minded, which is part of why I also disagree with all this anti-americanism. America isn't perfect by any means, but we are our own country, and the rest of the world should respect that.
The thing I dont get is, with all the Al-Queda, & other terrorist agencies around why people of the Western world direct their anger towards America rather than to those who want to kill all us westerners.
I also think that finally, because Blair of Great Britain is helping us on Iraq, that we should help Blair defeat the Irish Republican Army terrorist group. It's the least we can do... Helping other nations fight their terrorists. Israel has the Hamas, Russia the Chechens... We can gain a lot of allies by helping other nations fight their own terrorists groups. Then we have these militia networks in the US too, that have been known to engage in underground anti-government activity. McVeigh committed one of the most heinous terrorist acts in America, and he was an American.
On a side note some Canadian leader had a political embarrassment recently, having called George Bush a moron. Talk about a slip of the tounge. :D |

She was just an aide of the PM, and it was in a private conversation, overheard by a news reporter. Our current government has been a target of the media lately, and they like to pick at things like that. I'm sure many many people have called Bush a moron. Hehe
Regarding the topic, I think the US is in the spotlight, and its citizens should get used to it. What other country has so many relationships with other countries, has walmarts and mcdonalds and coca cola established world-wide, military bases scattered across the globe, and its every actions followed daily by the news?
the US is so internationally active, and its actions affect us globally, so of course it topics of discussion will generally be based on US actions more than other countries. |

I think this is very very wrong, Northern Ireland is none of Americas business plus, your soldiers bodies returning home in body bags every day, fighting in a war which is not their war is wrong too.
The IRA yes they are a terrorist group. Yes they have carried out murders, bombings, punishment beatings, and injured some people for life. However Northern Ireland is something you will never understand, theres too much history behind it for you to understand too much hatred.
For Centuries the British had been in Ireland, Catholics (Nationlists) who were the population of Ireland were forced to starve, Whilst protestant (Loyalist) colonists lived a life were they had good food, a roof over their head, education for their children, whilst their armies led by ing scum like Oliver Cromwell and Prince William of Orange, who went around slaughtering villages of people because they didn't agree with their views. In 1920 we're aloud to be a country after several uprisings, however we're not able to have Ulster (Northern Ireland) which remains in the Hands of Royality of the United Kingdom it still does today.
The bogsides (ghetto's) in Northern Ireland were where Nationalists had to live they were poor crime ridden estates, Lots of Nationalists were unemployed, they had no human rights at all, treated like pieces of ing , we were ing second class citizens, so in 1969 after riots between Nationalists and Loyalists, British troops were sent in to restore order, the IRA then carried out attacks on the troops and loyalist population, then the day known as Bloody Sunday 30th of January 1972, during a peacefull human rights march in Derry, 13 unarmed nationalists were shot dead by trigger happy bastard paratroopers, then every single sign up point for the provisional IRA was full of young nationalists willing to die for their beliefs and rights.
After 30 years of sectarian violence we had the Good Friday peace talks, its now at sort of stand still, but still Loyalist terrorist scum like the UVF, and Red Hand Defenders still carry out murders like ing killing unarmed postmen on their way to work and unarmed catholic taxi drivers, how long do you think untill people start bearing arms from weapon caches to protect their own people? And how dare anyone ever compared them to the likes of Al Queda because they ing have negioations, to some people in Ireland their seen as heroes even if you all think their murderous villians, One right doesn't make a wrong too! look at the ing UVF, UDA, LVF, Red Hand defenders, Orange Volunteers.
Very law abiding, politically correct lot of people them bags look like. |
