I'm going to take an English proficiency test (TOEFL-IBT) because my wife found out we can take it for free.
I'm terrified... I know I speak enough English to communicate with natives and foreigners alike, but I've never really had much formal training, so what if I find out I don't speak English? :p
In other news, it was supposed to be a long weekend (THANK YOU, CATHOLIC CHURCH!), but did I mention we decided to sit through an exam today? Wish me luck :D |

Lol damn, I love the horror stories. :D
More of the same here. More friends popping in to meet our sweet babe.
Last weekend I enjoyed a couple glasses of wine with our other friends and got a little buzz - I forgot how time slows down when you get a shine on. Felt like we'd been chatting for hours what was only 20 minutes or so, hah.
I may catch another buzz tomorrow. :o |

Well, that's the thing, see...I had one all worked out and ready...but then someone pointed out we might walk in on a breast feeding session. So, yeah...awkward! Maybe when the "sweet baby" is a "terrible two"? :conf: |

| Did I miss a thread where you talked about wine + breastfeeding? Do you pump first and then drink? |

There was a pretty huge study published recently showing that the amount of alcohol that passes through a mother's breast milk is so infinitesimal that's it's of little impact on breast feeding. The bigger concern is for infant safety if you're intoxicated.
Now obviously I am not getting drunk as , but no, I do not pump when I've had some drinks.
I believe the current recommendation is to wait an hour before nursing if you've had a drink or two? Also something like, if you're sober enough to drive you're sober enough to breastfeed?. I don't really drink much anymore anyway, but yeah I don't follow that at all. |
