| Pop music aside... it's hard to speak for everyone, but I think by and far the masses are stuck on that big epic style of trance. It doesn't help that alot of the popular local DJs play the same songs they were playing 3 years ago. I swear someone REALLY needs to take these guys to a record shop to update their boxes. Although, there is a smaller but well educated prog house/trance following also. |

Well, if anybody in Melbourne knows of the Sandy, they know of the terrible music they play every Friday night (which is a shame, lots of nice people there)
The DJ there seems to play the same lineup of songs every week, and most of them are crappy R&B and cheap crappy MoS - and its so old, like im talking stuff from 6 months ago.
Having said that, thats what the people around my suburbs generally listen to, R&B, rap (not hip-hop) and cheap crappy MoS :p |

For toronto i think its mainly hip hop, House, progressive then trance. Jungle and DnB used to be huge.. but i dont think so anymore?
can anyone confirm..
Here in ottawa its not about the music .. its where the drugs are @ haha.. i find that the ottawa scene is still a bit immature when it comes to electronica and underground.. then again thats just my Opinion |
