Mr. Cohen acknowledged the illegal payments while pleading guilty to breaking campaign finance laws and other charges, a litany of crimes that revealed both his shadowy involvement in Mr. Trump’s circle and his own corrupt business dealings.
He told a judge in United States District Court in Manhattan that the payments to the women were made “in coordination with and at the direction of a candidate for federal office,” implicating the president in a federal crime.
I was avoiding making a political thread before elections, but this is exciting. Where is serial killer?

Mike Pence met our president just a while ago, and Temer was also a vice-president until he pulled a Frank Underwood on Dilma Rousseff.
All I can say is, I feel I've seen this happen before :p

Not exactly like this though. Dilma's impeachment was completely political because the economy was doing bad and they came up with some bull of crime of responsibility, as I remember it. I don't want this to go the coup route, but if the orange turd broke campaign finance laws than it should be game over for him. And we don't even know what the special council has on him yet.

This is funny and depressing at the same time.

There is no end if Republicans keep all branches of government. I don't buy any analysis that says trump will be out before the house of reps gets flipped.

Does Weisselberg getting immunity necessarily mean that he's sitting on anything juicy, though? Trump has pretty much batted away all "scandals" thus far because no one really trusts the mainstream press anymore. Unless there's a genuine bombshell in there (bribery, tax evasion, money laundering), I'm not so sure even this will have much of an impact beyond hardening the partisan battle lines even further.
Also, if Trump DOES get impeached, is anyone really looking forward to two years of Mike "Electric Fence" Pence in office?

He won't be.

Of course not, republicans are complicit and scared of their base. There is so many of these ing people nobody wants to address the fact that they're still gonna be here once trump is gone. Rann wants to have his cake and eat it too, but having president lame duck drumpf is not much better. I want IMPEACHMENT. I want BERNIE.
I want CITIZENS UNITED OVERTURNED.
Like sand leaper pointed out, we're already in the for a while now. The damage already done is almost irreparable. All of this is just a clown side show in the circus. A very entertaining one at that, though. Morning joe said something either inspired or stupid but I thought it was funny. He said this is not the beginning of the end but the end of the beginning. So basically we're in the middle of the now.

This whole thing is giving me the world's worst case of blue balls. Trump has been in deep for literally years now, and the killer blow is always just moments away without ever landing. I'm getting fed up with it. I'll say the same thing I said two years ago. Wake me up when he actually gets impeached.

While I'm not looking forward to anything Pence will ever do for the rest of his life, I really want Trump out. I'm sick of the whole discourse, as much as anything. This imbecile was never meant to be analysed this deeply.
