At this point, I don't even think it's a popularity contest anymore, it's a "who throws the most money at bots and vote manipulation" contest.
OrangestO
Nina and all her Russian bots made it :haha:

I was gonna say..

With the surge in Business Techno and the crash of EDM in the States, are most of these DJs really that popular anymore?

A few purveyors of the former are on there, but still not a strong overall presence.

Do the fans of the listed DJs pay that much attention to DJ MAG that it pays to publish the list still? It must, right? Otherwise, someone needs to get sacked.

I'm surprised it still gets posted here.

What's actually happened to EDM? Those guys just don't play in the UK and never really have, so it's hard for me to judge what's going on in that scene. I know EDM seemed to vanish overnight from the front page of Beatport a year or two back, which suggests some kind of collapse.

Beatport Will have you Thinking edm is dead

and hot creations is very much alive

that 2009 list makes me sad :(

I miss that year even though it sucked in most areas of my life, the music was good
planetaryplayer
RA poll was pretty bad as well- do they still make those?

@EDM... noticed a surge in mainstream hip hop again. Neon kids grew up into bros (tech-house)?

PS. nina kraviz sucks and always will

I'm just thinking out loud...the raver kids are listening to riddim now which is a sub genre of dubstep , however I dont really see it represented at all on this 2019 list either , so it makes me wonder who if anyone at all is even paying attention to it ...

I am happy to see black coffee on there I'll always root for him
