sours have been trending for a while. i don't mind them. at first my gf didn't like them now it's her favourite type of beer. i like to have a lambic after a double/triple IPA if they are really bitter and I'm going onto a different style next. ciders do the trick too

I didn't DISlike it, in fact it was rather refreshing on a hot day. I just think one is enough.

Re:ciders, I had Brickworks Mint Basil cider last week and it was SO GOOD. Not sweet at all, tasted a lot like unsweetened cold tea really. Also very good in the hot weather.

I have never been a cider man, but I'm actually curious if I would feel any different than I have in the past if I gave it a go again. What are some decent brands? I wouldn't even know where to start. I'm in the Southeast US (TN, specifically), so that will likely limit what I can lay hands on. The main thing I'd like to avoid is, due to a lack of knowledge, picking up the cider equivalent of Bud Light/Natural Light/High Life...that sort of shiat. I don't like things on the overly/sickly sweet side, either. Thanks in advance! :D

Not Strongbow then. Tbh any/every cider I can think of are all local to here... Do you get many imports from up here?

Cockagee Cider ftw.

You faggots are making me crave a drink. Oddly enough, I find myself drooling the most at Beaner piss Corona at the grocery store, simply because it drinks like tasty water on hot as days.

You would suggest something with "cock" in the name... ;)

It's crazy what we can and cannot get here. For example, I can find stuff from Goose Island and Yuengling this far south, whereas friends north of me can't get the Yuengling.

Until the last couple of years, I had 4 good locations for Sierra Nevada's lineup...then that dried up.

Essentially, we only have 2 main "distributors" in the area, and they kind of determine what gets stocked and what doesn't. I will ask my guy at my usual beverage haunt what my options for ciders are, given the 2 main distributors for this area.

my favourite cider atm is west avenue cider and KW cider, both on the dry spectrum. other ones i buy if they aren't in stock are, forbidden, farmed and dangerous, Ernest's dry. also i buy any dry ones i haven't tried yet. north of 6% is my sweet spot. gf likes the mint & basil one. man we are blessed with lots of good cider here. converted my friends AWAY from strongbow. yeah this fag right here is going for another one right now

I wish corona did non alcoholic beer. I mean the real stuff tastes non-alcholic.

Lol I have been thinking today is Friday all day, partially because of this thread. I mean, Thursdays when I work ARE my Fridays, but still. :stongue:

Guess I'm drinking alone tonight. :/

You're not alone, in the spiritual/cosmic sense, Jenny. I'm raising a glass or two with you, currently.
