Cheers, mate :)
Went into soho today for the first time since the lockdown. First time my boy rode the train and visited the city too. We went so my partner could get an antibody test finally. I was anxious for most of the trip. It's ing weird and eerie out there. Once I had this I chilled out. Very tasty beer. Never had it before or even seen it in Berlin. London is def not the same. Strange times.

| We'll drink to negative tests, then. The wife and all her coworkers were mandated to get tested today. She finally got her results - negative. With the condition of her lungs and kidneys from her chemo and radiation, she really needs to avoid this . Unfortunately my exorbitant bank salary isn't enough for us both. |

| My partner is sort of hoping for a positive. I'm not considering the possible long-term effects we don't know about. Anyway, a positive would mean I've had it (I'm guessing yes) and that she's passed the antibodies to our boy. Perhaps it would help me finally loosen up and relax. Or not. |

We don't know if having the antibodies will protect one down the line from getting it again, so I wouldn't be overly cheered by receiving a positive.
Having said that, my wife and I were disappointed when we tested negative for both antibodies a few weeks ago. |

That's what I was going to say - I seem to recall reading something relatively recent that led me to believe that any protection conveyed may be very short lived, relatively speaking. If that's the case, things are going to be "interesting" for a much longer time. |

Cider!! What the is it with you guys and cider?! I cringe when someone I'm with (a guy) orders it. I find it odd.
Still, I find the beer selection at the pubs here better than in the States. I like the crafts in the US, but they have good ones here too. Some of the more commercial ones being Brewdog and Beavertown. I find most of their selections tasty. London does have some great craft beer shops around. |

| I've not tried a cider in nearly 20 years. Are there any good ones that aren't overly sweet or "fake apple" tasting? I don't even recall the brand I tried, but that's all I seem to remember about it. |

My partner wants to go away to the coast this weekend. I've been arguing against it (I want to go), but she makes the point that if things will worsen again like I keep predicting, why not make a trip now while the R value is low instead of waiting and not being to at all. She's got a point, and we'll probably take the trip. I feel a little more comfortable after today's journey. It's almost as if being inundated with all the news about it the last three months has ed my mind. Having a boy has changed how I'd normally approach this situation too. No matter what I'm definitely not letting my guard down. I told her she better get used to being with a paranoid and anxious man as long as this keeps up. Might drive her to leave me before we get married in September lol. |

That's kind of sexist of you. And why do you care at all what other people drink?
I like cidre from Normandy, but haven't had any good British ones. I'm sure they exist, but I don't care enough to put in the effort to find them. |

The whole idea of it repulses me. I've tried it once when I was inebriated at an afters (what the hell was cider doing at an afters?!).
It did go down smoothly. But I hated myself for liking it even a little. Wouldn't have done so any other time. |

Cider reminds me of wine coolers in the States. Do they have those here? Haven't seen them.
