Yeah that's right! Who cares?!
Me? Well we're decorating the tree this weekend since it's all our child has been asking about since pulling out the Christmas decorations.
Having another (late) birthday celebration with another small group of friends tomorrow. Wasn't entirely intentional to split things up, but it's the only way I can see all my friends safely.

We're 2 short at work today, so I have to work my normal shift plus cover the late shift/after hours brouhaha that is the crazy ass item-processing department. Apparently we can't get with the times and embrace teller/item capture at the teller window in real time and be ing done for the day 30 minutes after closing. :whip:
Shockingly, we got bonuses/profit sharing this year, which was a pleasant surprise, as it was initially rumored that we were all well and proper ed on income this year. Not sure how we made money and grew, but I'm spending the bonus before they realize any mistakes made. :gsmile:
For you video/cinephile/fantasy nerds, Warner/NewLine have released their new 4K UHD review copies of both The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. Bill Hunt of The Digital Bits has an in-progress review up, and the rumor is LOTR looks effing phenomenal! I have this preordered for the Dec 1st release date in the States.

Holy christ I forgot it was black Friday. I went out (what I thought would be) quickly to get some gifts for our kid's teachers and our cleaning girls, and the mall was a goddamn zoo. People just give no s, seems more than ever.
Anyway, I got home all out of sorts, feeling the haywire energy of people's blind drive to consume, and I thought to myself "Phew, thank God that's over with. Now just to enjoy the next week of downtime until Christmas!" completely forgetting it isn't even December yet. :stongue: |

We had the usual first snow that has since completely melted/been washed away by rain. But I AM looking forward the real deal, as I got brand new skis and bindings at the end of last ski season I wasn't able to use. Weeee! |

My god...I am so "white" and terribly uncoordinated that if I were ever stupid enough to strap on a set of skis, I would become a statistic in about 18 seconds. :haha:
Yes, it's really that bad. The NOAA forecast says the first month or so of winter in this region will be warmer than average. If it's like last year, it will again be VERY mild. People can say what they want about climate change (all weather is local, like politics, right?), but I can tell you in my 43 years it has changed noticeably in our area. |
