Composers Alexander Scriabin and Rimsky-Korsakov were said to have it. hehehe Cmajor was red for one, white for the other. D major was yellow for both, but Amajor could be green or rose. They would vir over their interpretations.
Other so-called famous who have this are: Wassily Kandinsky, Olivier Messiaen, Vladimir Nabokov, Sergei Eisenstein, Basho Matsuo, David Hockney and I think Oliver Sacks is one too ? hehe :D |

| ususually if you have taken mdma, come back from a night out, lie back close ur eyes with music on, you see random petterns merging liek the music, its quite nice. :) |

I'm not sure whether this is synaesthesia... Surprisingly, I even see abstract images when listening to classical music. :p However, there has to be many different instruments playing simultaneously in the background (ex: Beautiful symphony orchestra), or the main melody has to be very beautiful (ex: Enya). Only then I will experience synaesthesa-like symptoms. Usually, I first experience some numbness in the brain and then if I close my eyes I see colors and abstract images. If the song is very melodic then I get goosebumps all over my skin. The funny thing is that I’ve never taken any drugs in my life, and the feeling that I get when I listen to melodic trance or classical music is just indescribable. :) |

Here's how to get yourself into a state of trance.
When it's night, hop onto you're bed.
Pop in you're most trancedelic track cd.
Make sure all lights are closed, you're in a comfortable
position on your bed, and your door is closed.
Put you're EARPHONE volume to it's max.
Add the bass.
Close your eyes.
Don't think of anything, just follow with the music.
Be the music, and flow how it flows.
Voila.. you're in a trance! |

This is synaesthesia. I've also read about this synaesthesic guy who went out with girls depending on how their names tasted (?!).
According to stats, 1 in 2000 people have some from of synaesthesia, and men are 4 times more likely to have it than women... |

| wow, you're incredibly special to have this gift. i think the numbers are even more rare then 1 in 2000, my music history professor said it was something like 1 in 10,000. Anyway, it's based on the similar theory of perfect pitch; some people have physical reactions to hearing certain frequencies. Synaesthesia is when you see certain colors tied in with certain pitches. Those of you seeing abstract images however, are more along the lines of imagination. :D NOT to say that's a bad thing, i see and feel very cool things when i listen to trance too. ;) However, those with synaesthesia are definitely a rare breed. It's also the basis of the color-organ developed around the turn of the 20th century. Basically an organ that when played, the keys trigger certain colorscapes from a machine. very cool stuff. :) |

For another example, For Gouryella's Tenshi's main melody, I see grey-white-ish waves duplicating each other amoung a black-shadow-like background, and I can't bloody explain what the faint strings in the backgound look like, too freakin abstract to say in words! LOL

And same goes for Airscape / S&G , They mostly are Orange for me... Though Ultra - Free (S&G remix) is kinda greenish white :p
