Jack Moss - Another Secondhand Sunrise [Lush '90s Vibes]

I know my other mix is still floating about on the first page, but you didn't get a set from me for six months, so here's another in short order. A sequel to last year's "A Secondhand Sunrise" set providing more blissful '90s throwback-style tunes and a couple of oldies from the original era. This one is a bit pacier and trancier than the last one. More to come in this style.

Based on this track alone this is getting a listen from me :D

Thanks for the sets lately, they are keeping me motivated!

damn this is right down my alleyway. this reminds me of the stuff sasha and digweed used to play from progressive house to US west coast breaks.
Mr Game+Watch
Great job on the mix, some awesome upbeat energy here. Definitely is one of those mixes that is timeless - feels retro but also simultaneously cutting edge. Route 8 - All Those DJs and Rudolf C - Deep Sea Survivor were two particular highlights.

Damned good stuff; I can't wait for the next instalment. Agree with the 'timeless feel' comment. Great work, sir.
SYSTEM-J
Cheers guys. I agree about the timeless thing - although this sound is obviously unashamedly retro, it also feels oddly fresh. I don't know how long it will stay like that, but at the moment this is the most exciting dance music being made for me, by a long way.

Took me a little while to get around to reviewing this despite giving it a couple of listens now. Sandy beaches in the Greek isles certainly gave this mix the perfect backdrop so I thought I’d take a bit of time to jot down some thoughts

Firstly, it’s obviously a very well put together and thoughtful mix, alongside a really fresh new style of music- what’s not to love? Agreed on previous comment that Route 8’s ‘all those DJ’ is a particularly brilliant number, and I actually enjoyed the rather bold decision to include it so early in the set

Things revert to being a little bit tracky after that, but the tunes set a steady groove and build up nicely and slowly, establishing a very cool and deliberate atmosphere.

Things pick up again at around ‘Indian Rope’, and there’s a great trio of tunes together here.

That leads into the grand finale where this mix moved into more of a ‘peak time’ club vibe. I’m not actually that keen on ‘Move Faster’ which feels a little bit naff. It’s then up the gears for Lionrock…. lol interesting. The vocal on this is clearly terrible and unnecessary, but everything else about the track is amazing and I’ve still found myself buying it. Someone needs to make a dub!

I’ve enjoyed Hail Falls from previous mixes of yours, but it really works well on this set, and then Oolong Trance is a perfect finale

Top banana old chum. 87/100

I've listened to both Rapid Transit and this one like 3-4 times 70% of the way through and have never felt ready to leave feedback (or had time). However, now that I've listened to them in full I don't really have feedback more than just saying "hey great tunes"!

Rapid Transit 4 was like peak time, strong, powerful, driving prog, with solid energy the whole time. A great mix to run a half marathon to. This one was a smooth build up with some lush tunes and building into some more dance vibes. Mostly I just appreciate the music, and with my life being so damned busy you managed to squeeze out an extra 2.5 listens just from my inconsistencies alone :p Well done!
SYSTEM-J
Two reviews for the price of one! Cheers Nick - what kind of time are you running a half in these days?
ziptnf
I won't get to do a proper half until next spring but I'm going to be aiming for sub-90 minutes. I'd like to say I'd have a good mix queued up but I probably won't be racing with my phone or headphones anymore. At this point I'm too used to running without them.

SYSTEM-J
That's a damn good time if you can do it. I did 1:42:15 in June and was very pleased with myself. Can't imagine running without music though. Good luck!

As soon as I saw 90's and I download link in SoundCloud I got excited.
