Techno Vs. Trance (pg. 2)

I find that techno has more of a rough sound to it usually. I also find that its structure is less formulaic than trance's.

As was previously said, it boils down to Techno being more about beats and Trance having (usually) uplifting elements to it.

I love 'em both though. :)

Watch what you say. Yu are stereotyping Americans for lacking a taste in good music. While I am American, I know the difference between trance, techno, and every other genre of electronica that there is. Not all Americans are top 40 listeners, but unfortunately the majority of them are.

seriously, techno is loved by many, but the best part is when they mix songs, cause it almost seems like its going somewhere.

i thought tribal were the most popular form for techno in spain
and the "normal" bpm for tribal is usually between 140-145 +-

when i listen to varela/mulero sets they arent even in 145 heh

anyways, might be different with other djs:)

hehe. dunno about spain... but acid techno is huge in south america as a whole. they just love it for some reason (though i'm not surprised ;) ) chris lib told me his gigs in south america were the most successful of all :haha: i wish i could go there for once :(
