Haha, I voted for tiesto... duh... I like tiesto due to the fact of track selection, better overall mixes (like the stories they tell) and just over all... He is is a little overrated but I don't think thats a bad thing, it kinda keeps him in line... I mean his live sets are amazing and come on... ISOS... |

Wow...huge margin. Impressive. And my vote is for PVD of course!! *rips results of DJ Mag Top 100 to shreds* :whip: |
just my two cents about this is that almost every paul van dyk spins is remixed by him or sounds like something he remixed. and if you are a dj you know it's very easy to mix one paul van dyk song to another paul van dyk song. or one tiesto song to another tiesto song etc. etc. i just think tiesto deserves at least this much of a defense. despite the fact his mixing may be worse than paul van dyk's mixing. |

yes paul van dyks tracks do have a distinctive sound but they are all still orignal as are tiesto's |

this is true. but paul van dyk mixes paul van dyk song after paul van dyk most of the time. and that's why his mixing "is better"? this poll was originally started to say who was the better dj and not the most popular. but now we have defined it purely by mixing abilities. and yes, paul van dyk's "sounds" better. but that may because it takes less skill to mix a paul van dyk song into another pvd song. tiesto has done this, but only on like his dvd's and other artist-promotional stuff. it's the same goal AvB had with his DVD, look at the tracklist. it's all avb stuff, to further his artist name. but dj tiesto's other live sets do not consist of mixing tiesto songs into tiesto remixes the whole time. they are more diverse. and that isn't as easy. |

PVD is like a robot on stage and his presence behind the decks is very dull.
Tiesto is a much better "DJ"
However, PVD is a musical genious and much better producer and mixer as I have heard many of tiesto's mixes sound quite ruff and he even wrecked for a second at his concert in LA. But during a set in a club...presence behind the decks says a lot for a DJ. |

I voted for PvD :P
Tho, Tiesto can say something that no other dj can. He opened for the Olympic Games. :eyespop: that alone has made him immortal.
PvD's prodcutions are just better by far. Tiesto kinda went into a slump. His last mix CD: In Search Of Sunrise 4, I was so disapointed. |

What was so disappointing about these CD's? Standard Tiesto Mix albums. Although, I am skeptical of ISOS5:LA, I still enjoy ISOS4 very much. I think he should record another live cd just for the crowd noise. why? because AvB's Univeral Religion 2004 sounds so very kewl for this reason. |

ISOS 4 was not standard, compared to the first three ISOS albums. |

I thought CD 1 was just a Latin American themed ISOS. But yeah, I guess I can agree they aren't very much the same. But regardless, they are good albums. |
