Here's how I see it,
It appears to me that 95% of van Nistelrooy's goals are scored while he's standing around the box and the ball comes to him. I won't fault him for that, he gets the job done.
On the other hand, Henry is much more versatile. Sure he gets lucky bounces now and then, that's part of being a good striker, but he scores goals where he seems to do a bit more work than Ruud. Don't forget his free kick abilities :eyespop:
To further contrast their contributions, van Nistelrooy's last hattrick came in a 5-2 win for his team. Henry's last hattrick came in a 3-1 win for his team.
For the above reasons, and also the fact that he's just a better player, I would select Theirry Henry. |

| i would go for ruud too, he doesnt miss as many chances as henry does. He has two great feet. Doesnt have the same blistering pace as Henry tho, if he did he would be the complete striker! |
