Well as you may all know...I am a diehard oakenfold addict.
Loved his essential mixes and sum of his recent sets.

AS u all know..Bt's studio was broken into earlier this year.
This may be old news but tell me wut u think..about wut someone told me. I copied and pasted from a racing board. These are his comments.
feedback please...

Excerpt:
Paul Oakenfold is a NAZI. He leaches off the talent of others for the sake of his own personal gain. I've been to a couple of his DJ Set's and let me tell you, he's not all that. He spends more time doing his damn Jesus Christ pose than he does actually spinning. It's also funny to me that at 1 concert his "DJ" sets (ya know where he spins and mixes music and it's supposed to be awe inspiring and off-the hook) was the EXACT replication of disc 2 from "Perfecto Presents: Another World." On top of that (although nobody can prove this to date, putting 2 and 2 together it's highly likely) he is a thief. If you listen to his new album Bukka (which has very minimal effort on his part) he has stolen breaks, and media zapps from BT...funny that BT's studio was broken into over christmas, and all the material he was working on for his 4th album, along with all his equipment was stolen. It's also funny that Oakenfold and BT were once buddy buddy (Oakenfold helped get BT's career started) but had a falling out that...yup you guessed it, right before BT's studio was broken into. SOrry that was a little harsh, and I know there are people that love Oakie. When I first got into electronic music, I listened to a lot of Oakenfold, simply because it was pretty mainstream, and it sounded alright. Truth of the matter is, except for his latest release, none of the music he has put out is his music. Instead he records his DJ sets and leaches fame off of people wiht more talent. Groups like Ameoba Assassin that most likely not too many people have heard of. SO he spins the songs, puts them on a CD and people think it's Oakenfold's music.

BTw this is not a flame war..but some interestin notes can be taken from that attack paragraph.
Is there something deeper that lies beneath the broken friendship of oakenfold and bt???
btw that guy lacks sum knowledge in his area of trance/artists...but his argument is definitely interesting....

i dont like speculating about these things... its not to us to judge about this. truth and justice will find its way

i doubt oakenfold who is already successful would go to the trouble of breaking into BT's studio and stealing his work. If the two of them worked together for a long time right before oakenfold released bunkka then they are bound to have sounds that are similar.
but who knows. i cant say id be surprised if oakie did raid the studio. i just like listening to the music, i dont idolize the artists.

almost all the DJ set CDs (which are all made on computer) released contain many songs that are made by other artists (although they are normally under the same label). thats why the tracklistings on cds state the artist and teh name of the song the dj mixed in.

Ive always liked the way oakenfold MIXES the tracks that hes put on most of his albums. But ever since Bunkka came out ive began to dislike the music that he has done past the Voyage into Trance album. So even if he did take BT's work, then it only made HIS music dislikeable and the music that he gets from other Djs likeable. In my eyes i see Oakenfold as a person that can mix songs together, not make songs.

But then it puts me on confused becuase of the SwordFish album witch turned out to be a excellent album....:conf: :conf:

i may not be a big fan of okenfold but come on....^ that is lame. okenfold wouldnt steal some1 elses music or break into another well known Djs studio.

i honeslty doubt any dj would do that..

This is just hilarious.
No, wait, its more then hilarious, its.. THE X-FILES!
What a conspiracy, yes, you heard me, Oakenfold stretches out his
hand to BT and starts giving him a push in the right direction, Oakey
is the good guy.. or is he ? Nooo, he steals all the eq in BTs studio!

Give me a break, the guy that came up with that theory must really
have given it a whole minute of thinking.

It was a terrible waste that BT lost his gear but making up storys
like that guy did is just stupid and from what Ive heard BT isnt
Jesus personified.

Too me it just sounds like BT and some of his fans is a bit jelaous
of Oakey.

Some of you guys may know this already but Oakie answers Bt in the new IDJMAG. Oakie states he doesn't know what BT's problem is but will ask him when he sees him. You guys should check it out if your into DJ gossip.
Floorfiller
i think that not only did oakie break in and steal bt's equipment, but is also behind ALL of the theft problems musicans around the world have in some kind of greater scheme to be the only one left able to make music. and as far as people mistaking artists on his album as HIS own work, well that is just ignorance within the music community. i mean all idiots out there that don't know about different artists hear a techno cd and assume that it is the person who's cd it is... those of us who actually listen to this type of music or just electronic music in general will know the difference.
Busy Child
thats pretty low to say a dj as successful as oakie to steal another one's equipment. The guy from the article had some good points, but only die hard trance addict fans would only know that. The majority of the ppl dont follow trance like most of us so to them its still entertaining. I think we ruin trance in general by analyzing it way too much and being overly critical. I love the days when I was first getting into trance and every song i heard was just fackin awesome.

THANK YOU!!!!!

No offense, but this is nothing but a load of speculations, with no solid facts what so ever.Another thing:has Oakey even gotten a chance to defend himself from any of the that has been thrown at him lately?

*looks at Floorfiller's post....then at his avatar...*

Actually Oakenfold had nothing to do with the Voyage T o Trancea album the record company that realeased that did that them selves and simply put Oakenfolds name on it, he evn stated publicly that he had noting to do with that album, cant u tell its so garbage. Also the Swordfish album has a lot PMT help and influence on it and PMT is the in so thas y Swordfish may sound good to u, although in my opinion it was garbage, but of course the mainstream masses would love it thas y it did so well.
