well i didnt think that splinter cell was coming out on ps2...but,

dead to rights was supposedly only so so also.

the best 2 ps2 games ive played recently were NFS:HP2 - so fast and so much fun, and THPS4 - amazingly better than all the ones before. sadly i wont be getting them, since i have no use for them, i wont be able to play them next semester|

Here are some quotes that convinced me to buy Dead to Rights.

Quotes are from http://ps2.ign.com/articles/091/091714p1.html

"The first in-game sequences that Namco premiered highlighted a targeting system that enables strafing and shooting in a 3D environment, the ability to target specific parts of the body while moving, and disarming capabilities."

"Perhaps the coolest aspect about this early game was the disarming scenes, in which the lead character Jack Slate grapples an enemy, steals his shotgun, and then dusts him. Namco's team plans to animate the enemies' deaths realistically, with characters shoulders swaying back and forth, their heads popping back with force, and limp bodies crumbling to the ground. Enemies contain about 10 different impact points along their body for a variety of animations. Slate also can shoot while diving in four different directions, backward, forward, left and right -- and will certainly dive off high ledges, balconies, and crates, for cinematic effect."

Theres more on that site, but I think these 2 quotes pretty much explain the game.

I bought Dead to Rights last night. It's a pretty cool game.
Splinter cell won't be coming out till about March 03. I'll check out Ghosr Recon on PC.

Thanks,

Any idea when it is coming out? that game looks amazing. Just like metal gear solid 2 for the ps2. I was told that the creator of mg2 gave praised for Spliter Cell.

Not too far away...I'll wait for that to come out. Damn, it seems like almost every good XBox game releases on another platform making it pointless for me to buy an XBox :stongue: Only thing that XBox has that no other platform does is Halo (which is set for release on PC soon and will own the XBox version).
