Seriously, I dont see whats so special about him. He's just a regular producer. His tracks are as good as any other track (or maybe a little less quality..) and his DJing is as good as any other DJ (or maybe a little less quality..) these days. You guys act like his stuff is just sooo amazing.

Sometimes I start to wonder if its just his name that sells. I wonder if he slapped together an utterly cheesey track in less than no time and released it, would people go insane with comments such as "omg! PvD new style! this is the new sound of trance! I die!" Probably so ;) He was better a couple years ago than today anyway.. he's declining now imo.

For the record, no he does not suck, and no he is not great. He is just good, just like heaps of other producers today.

My 2¢ :toothless

And you all know that that Zurdo soundtrack is all just for money. Why else would someone as hyped and respected as PvD do the soundtrack for some random Mexican film?

So true. But say if Tiesto mixed that, he would be 'the worst dj ever and a huge sellout' But since PvD did it its ok.

Good PR people. :)

Eventhough PvD killed me when I saw him live.

in all honesty this guy makes absolute . I haven't heard a good production from him since 'Words'. How has this weiner become so popular? He's underground trance's answer to Dj Sammy & Scooter.

Did you see that specialised cd of his for Latin America? what a commercial cheeze monger! Who does he think he is? Judge Jules or something? He is an absolute DISGRACE!

/end rant

u win lamer of the year...

Mr. Carlos Salces, the movie producer and director, saw and met Paul in 1994 in mexico. Last year, He saw him again in march for his gig in Mexico city and he had the thought get Paul to make the soundtrack for his movie. Why not? Is a new experience on Paul`s career. Regarding to the the money issue? I doubt this since I don`t think many latin-american people would support PvD as USA/Europe does. Perhaps if it had a global release, then I would say yes.

and for you that are dissapointed, remember this is just a soundtrack, not an 'artist' album. His album will come in 2003 and can just say it will be VERY surprising for many.

cheers,
