| Any TAs know any that is worthy of mentioning? I'm consider changing venue. I want to upgrade to my Winamp 2.8x but don't like 3.0 :( |

I love winamp 2.8
Yeah theres loads of alternatives,
Sonique which looks really nice, and supports some evil skins is a good alternative.
Music Match Jukebox which is also a good mp3 ripper. U will need to get a crack for it tho. Search on kazaa or astalavista it.

for ur basic player, i dont think anything beats winamp 2.8..
musicmatch invades everything, winamp 3 looks good but has no dsp/effect plugins that are anygood (i.e. a nice pitch bender would do the trick)
just stick to winamp :) |

I use atomixmp3 to play MP3s, because I really cant stand not having the ability to control pitch and position whenever I play music.
then again... I dont really play MP3s much anymore.. hehe |

i dunno exactly what tu_face means by "invades everythign"
but its possible to change the defualt openers of progs in windows if thats what u mean |

I think he means it changes all your file types ect to opening up in music match (.mp3 files are defaulted to opening in winamp if u double click the file, cd audio files is defaulted to winamp if u double click the file and so on)
Plus it comes with aload of other useless cluttering . U can turn most it off if u do a custom install. Tbh musicmatch is only good for ripping mp3's imo.

What makes Winamp 2.8 great is it's simplicity.
They've made winamp 3 kinda busy and it's sort of lost it's ahhh thing. Aprt from winamp I don't know about any nice simple programs.

other programs aside from winamp? how bout Windows Media Player? it's pretty good.........
