I just clicked reply without even thinking why..but now that ive opened it....eh....
psychedelic trance is realted to acid trance in that it usses a lot of acid sounds. Especially full on goa by Halluc. and all the israeli artists (from infected mushroom to space cate, pigs in space and sandman). Minimalistic Psy is more similiar to techno, although faster and with more crazy effects. Both are indded originated in Goa, where in the 60 and 70s already, the Hippie scene established a Mecca for psychedelic ROCK. |

However, when you said "both", you didn't mean to say that techno originated from goa, right? Keep in mind that "psychedelic techno" is a paradox :) |

hi. as far as i remember, there have been quite a few threads on this topic. so if u search for "acid techno", u should find some lists of recommendations.

yeah, u genres whores! who cares... it all sounds good :) heheheh
but i have to agree... acid tech is dofferent to psytrance. and whilst you can get psytrance at some inside parties and occaisionally the odd hard trance, hard house acid tech track at a doof, i think the inside / outside differentiation is much more appropriate at this time.
cos trippy sounds bouncing off the trees sooooooo amazingly and walls destroys the sound you get indoors.
i'm a lover of hard house, trance, acid tech, acid trance, blah blah blah :) but play it to me outside.
really the world has two kinds of ppl, psytrance or not psytrance/acid. if ur into psytrance, u know it from the first tune you hear. and u'll like the psytrance best i'm sure (like me heheheh).
goa is super, buts its a place guys! its like saying i like ibiza when you mean M.O.S chill out cd for example.
blah! *insert out of typing breath here :)*
any how, if ur interested, try checking out http://www.psyshop.com who are fairly good and will provide lots of online samples so you know if ur checking out the faaaaantassstic stuff you are going to love foe the rest of your psytrance life.

ahhh, how could you go past say infected mushroom, hallucinogen, sun project, growling mad scientists, reefer decree, logic bomb, doof, phony orphants, texas , space tribe, man with no name, manmademan, planet ben, etnica, alien project, HOW COULD I GO THIS FAR WITHOUT... SHPONGLE, absolum, wizzy noise, koxbox, astrix, talamasca, eat static (sick of scrolling down very long playlist to pick out fav artists)
