What about america? - and i know where i would feel safer. I went to New York for 5 days last year, and in the time i was there, many were murdered - including a few streets down where about 6 drug dealers were shot, execution style, by a rival gang.
I know someone who went to Cape Town, he got a knife pulled on him in the street in front of loads of people (who didnt do anything). He got hundreds of pounds of his stuff nicked, and he has a picture of what looks like a mad monkey sneaking up on him (he didnt see this monkey until the pictures were developed).
From looking at that page and the statisticis it seems they treat murder the same as shoplifting. But there are something like 7x more murders per 100,000 in american than here.
Oliver Letwin says some stuff, but he's some tory twat. All those tory's are twats and hypocrits - one of them whos high up used to be my doctor, and he used to perve after his patients. |

When someone attacks you here they use a knife or a bat or something - so you dont die and it stays as an assault. In other countries - they use a gun and it kills you, which is why america has 7X the murder rate of here, i guess. |

It talks about the world's 20 largest nations... my country is the 5th or 6th largest nation and the 10th largest economy, and I don't think England could be worse than here. But once again, I'm not quite sure whether we're a "leading economy" :rolleyes: |

Maaz - that article is written that way because it's in the Daily Telegraph - which is a conservative newspaper. The Conservatives are the opposition party, the party in government is Labour. The Daily Telegraph are just trying to make the government look bad.
