| I wasnt really thinking of high horsepower, but just enough to push from 115 stock to 130, and make it better for hilling :D thanks for all the advice. |

i probably have one of the fastest imports on this site and i don't feel like posting all this info on a civic bc there is so much that can be done. If you have a more specific question then just instant message me my screen name is disbtommy
BTW AEM cold air intake is good, just a lil pricey. The iceman is a good intake but not the best because it doesn't give as much power to all cars as it does sound. |

| The most you'll gain from a CAI is about 2-3 front wheel horse power in your case. You might see a couple more, but don't expect to see much difference. It's one of those mods that will help once you're making some good horsepower. But at the same a good starter mod. |

At the track I've run a best of 13.6@107 with a 2.2 60Ft. So, as you can see traction is a problem for me. If I were to get good traction off the line I should be able to see a 13.1-13.2, or maybe even a 12 if it's a very nice day out. You can check out my webpage
Have a good one. |
For traction, why don't you just run slicks? My RX-7 ran 13's bc i couldn't catch traction til almost 4th gear. With slicks i ran 11's |

| Yeah, with that 107 trap speed you should be able to tag a high 12 with slicks. If you're a good driver you could easily pull a 1.8 or lower 60ft time on slicks, and that will help tremendously. |

woohoo i get to see the Tiesto civic again! :D
That is really low, how much have u lowered it? i am gueswsing -60mm drop, and how big are those wheels, 17"?
Its quite a smooth car with a Euro look, i think u can make it even smoother by delocking and de-handling it, smoothing the tailgate and then that car would be some smooooooooooooth ride! :D :D :D |

LOL....the wheels are 18's and it is lowered 5" in the front 51/4 in the rear....
i was going to take the door handles off but i am selling the car now...so i didnt wanna bother.....and the tailgate is smoothed....i shaved the lock, symbols, an the license plate holder is custom.,,.,.that is not what the back of a civic realy looks like stock..,..so it is a custom trunk.....just a suttle change.

Why dont I run slicks, well there's a big problem with running slicks, big traction equals breakage. I still have the stock 10 bolt rear in my car. And well, lets say it won't last but a few launches with really good traction. I've heard of many people blowing their rears on a stock car running slicks. If I get anything I'll just get some DR, maybe Nittos. I'm kind of thinking of selling the car too, because I want to buy a nice speed boat. We'll see what happens though.
I think that with slicks I could run a very low 13. I'm not the best driver, but I know how to launch my car pretty well. I know I could drop my car to a 2.0 60 ft with street tires, because I've seen it happen before. And I've ran a 2.1 before, so I know it's possible. We'll see what I can do if I don't sell it. :) |

My current project is a Mk2 Seat Ibiza, i;ve nearly finished the audio system, as my car is red i opted for a Sony Xplod system. I've got the ACtive Black Panel MD played, Xplod Front Speakers, Xplod COmponents, Xplod 6x9's on the back shelf and in the boot I put wood in there to cover the wheel arches, put a 6x9 in each one. I've got 2 XM-444 amps running the 6x9's, an XM-222 neatly tucked beneath the passenger seat running the mid's and the head unit powers the tweeters and fronts. For Bass I've got an ALpine SWR-1241D (1000W peak, 300 RMS) and that will be running off an XM-1502 amp, if io could find a place that stocks it!!!!!!
That is my audio system, and it is fine for clarity and loudness. I'm not one for entering Db drag races yet tho :tongue2
Good Audio brands are Rockford Fosgate (THe RF series V. Expensive!) Focal Top end stuff (some tweeters cost 900 Pounds!!!) and JL Audio. |
