uh huh...... exactly what the title says....
I have just spent the last 30 minutes going thru my mp3 collection with my D-A-D , dad, father, my old man (you get the picture) ... and for those who know me, you will know that my collection is full of the hardest music available online hehehe.....
after 30 minutes of listening.... my dad finally asked me to put Lady Dana live @ mysteryland 2002 on CD for him so that he can play it in his car , lol.
do you have cool parents like these? if so, i wanna hear about it :D |

my dad is pretty cool about my music, hes down here(my room/finished basement) alot when im listening to trance, even listens to some of my stuff when he works on his computer.
my mom likes more ambient stuff like chicane, i think she said she liked Gatecrasher - Wet when i was listening to it once
so yeah i guess my folks are pretty cool music wise |

| My parents are definitely not what some would consider hip or into the music, however... my brother threw a party with Dave Angel, Kenny Glasgow, and Derrick May back home and they went for most of the night. It was probably to support my bro mostly, but I still thought it was cool, my mom was even groovin to it, hahaha |

| My parents don't really like trance although they don't mind it either so there's never a problem if I want to play it in the house (which I do). My mom however likes beatless stuff more often than not and will listen to it if I play it. I'm sure Lady Dana would send her screaming though... |

It's kinda the same with me. My parents don't mind it though they're not about to start asking me to burn CD's for them. Though there are certain tracks that my dad ends up whistling if I play them enough and they have a relatively catchy melody. I remember when my dad was whistling Art Of Trance - Magagasga (Cygnus X Remix) only a few hours after I bought the CD back in 1998. It's always funny when that happens. My brothers have never had the same musical tastes as myself, they like to follow what's "cool". :D |

My parents are what u would call musically un-cool. I'd even be happy if they'd be into ANY kind of music specifically. Instead they, if at all, HEAR it (it being crappy commercial pop) in the background occasionally...My mum just commanedded me to burn her a cd featuring DJ oetzi, Las Ketchup and Cher :nervous: :nervous: :nervous:
It's a shame bout my father though, cause he once played in a band and seemes to have totally lost his obsession for music (even though he loved better off alone and enjoyed when I played Magik 1). I hope Ill stay "true to the music" for the next 30 years.. |
