Wow, psytrance really is quite the minority here. Maybe some people just don't know where to look for quality material other than Astral Projection and Infected Mushroom? Might I suggest GMS, Logic Bomb Pleadians, Hallucinogen, Goa Gill, Vibrasphere, Atmos...There are many great psy producers out there, I couldn't possibly list them all.
Personally, I like my trance trippy... rabbit in the moon, shpongle, bedrock, satoshi tomiie, sandra collins, cass & slide, the orb, synaesthesia... Hmm, ok, that's a bit more than just trance, but you get the idea... ;) |

generally, I listen to all styles of trance (cause i am not exactly sure where certain songs fall as of category). I download every dj i come across and listen to their set at least once or twice before moving on to something else. However, my favorite styles are hardtrance, and acid trance with some good female vocals.....e.g. Kirsty Hawkshaw - Fine Day (Steve Murano Vocal)
I think the end of Taiko's - Silence [Darren Styles Remix] is as uplifting as i like it..... I NEED to feel the bass that shakes the body!
what style would Lost vagueness (oliver lieb's mix) fit into?

i saw this question and actually thought about it for a while..i've come to the conclusion that i am a versatile trance listener..i like all trance actually as long as it can hook me with a good melody and/or good vocals, whether it's acid, tech-trance, psy-trance etc...
for example, pvd - another way, hooked me with that melody..i can repeat it in my head constantly..i cant always remember a good build or break down, but i can always remember a great melody or great lyrics... |

Mostly energetic uplifting trance (PvD), or Deeper, more progressive Melodic trance (Oakenfold and AvB).
My heart's always got a soft spot for Scot Project tho:p |
