Hmmmm... One thing I've noticed is that when I go shopping for pants, the store person goes " Would you like to buy those PAIRS of pants" ... But I only have one piece of pants? Could this be referring the the actual pairs of leg sleeves on the pants? If so, does the word "PANT" exisit??? I've seen on a Tommy Hilfiger label saying that it was "The Original Pant" ? :conf: :toothless |

oh heck no...
if you visit the states, remember:
- pants = anything that goes from waist to feet
- shorts = pants cut off around the knee (abbreviation of "short pants")
- slacks = formal pants (as with suit/tie)
- boxers/underwear/panties = undergarments (bottom layer)
- jeans = denim pants in variations of blue/black
- khakis = light colored cotton pants
- trousers = nothing
- sidewalk = thing on the side of the road you walk on
etc..

oh good god... i'll use ur definitions, but match it to the correct word ;)
"Anything That goes from waist to feet" = Trousers
"pants cut off around the knee (abbreviation of "short pants")" = Shorts
"undergarments (bottom layer)" = Pants/Boxers/Y-Fronts:stongue:/Thong/Underwear/Knickers
"light colored cotton pants" = Light Coloured Cotton Pants :p :haha: Actually i think we say Khakis as well.
"nothing" = slacks <--- rofl whoever came up with this word
"thing on the side of the road you walk on" = Pavement
and a fanny is a god dam fadge!!! not an ass... grrrrr |

How come they don't call long pants/slacks/trousers "longs"
like "shorts" for short pants/trousers
always wondered why no one called it that:conf: |
