Smirnoff Experience @ York Theatre - REVIEW
View this Thread in Original format

Now, I don't expect that many reviews from you people... but anyway, before I hit the bed, I just want to say a couple of things - NOW THIS IS WHAT I CALL AN EXPERIENCE!

Tiesto's hyped up performance compared to this, last night, was pants! I think I have just witnessed one of the best performances ever, by all DJs listed!

Dekoze, Kenny Glasgow, Craig Richards (the only person that dissapointed me), Lee Buridge and Erick Morillo, they ripped that place apart... I got there expecting nothing but a so-so party, and from the first minute I was just blown away. By the time Morillo came on (around 3am) I've heard enough hard twisted progressive stuff for a year! And then Mr. Erick ripped it even more! Geez... ridiculously good!

To all of you progressive heads who missed this, you should just pack up and leave this board... all you trancy boyz/girlz, don't even bother invading this thread.

And by the way, the place to be on January 1st will definitely be Comfort Zone (as much as I hate the sketchiness that comes with it), since every single DJ I've met last night told me that they will be spinning in the CZ on the New Year's day (Dekoze, Kenny Glasgow, Addy, etc...)

Now back to well deserved sleep...

P.S. --> Brunette, you just lost a couple of marks for being late, really late (what can I say, I am doing attendance now :D:D)

NOOOOOOO!
I was hoping this event would suck. Morillo kicks some serious ass, but for some reason I had a feeling it wouldn't be all that great.I have heard Craig Richards was supose to be good but was sub par. I have allready got a couple emails from friends who went and said they are still partying and talking about last night. Anyways one of my best friends Zach is spinning at the Zone New Years day, maybe we can meet then..?

I walked by the place last night. Once at 10:30, no line-up. Again at 12:30, no line-up.

How many people were in attendence?

Enough...

and that was one of the great things about last night, no lineup! There were like a thousand or so people in there (maybe more, but definitely not less), and enough room to dance. And all those great looking girls, phew... I wish they could throw parties like this more often!

Just got of the phone with a friend of mine, she said the party was awesome. Lee Burridge was :eyes:

Oh well, next time he's in town I'll be sure to attend.

HOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYY SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!
Morillo was just just just just just A M A Z I N G, for a lack of better word.
I got there late.. 2:30ish and only caught the ending of Burridge's set, which was also awesome. But Morillo overcame all my expectations, he was wicked, especially the INTRO!!!!!!
Great set up, sound, crowd...
:D :D :D :D

Missed my sleep again.........

Lee Burridge & Craig Richards were just en amazingly outstanding :) back 2 back 3 hour set, which wasn't surely enogh for everybody...i luved every minute of there set, their mixing was flowless, track selection was absolutely perfect! they played progressive house, tribal, with all dark, dirty, nasty sounds :D wat was the breaks track at 2am!!! omg, i dieed at that track! i never heard that track in my life, sounded like electro/house/dark/breaks track   that track is #1 of the year for me :) Eric Morillo came on, started pumping some tek-house..pretty banging :D
Lee Burridge & Craig Richards, are amazing duo no doubt! 10/10
Eric Morillo 9.5/10
Kenny Glasgow & Deko-Ze..no speeches here needed, both of them played some dirty house 10/10
i was surprised the way the setup was made, i was impressed. the sound system was crisp! :) great experience, waiting for more to come :D overall a very banging night of house musik!

Hey,

Last night's smirnoff party was pretty good. The sound upstairs was awesome, but I don't think all the stairs helped the event. I never made it downstairs to check it out, but I heard it was empty. Seemed the only room that was busy was the upstairs. Makes sense cuase that's where the headliners were. Anwyays, I have a question that hopfully soemone will answer. When I walked in upstairs at around 11-30 or so, I just caught the end of this wicked song De-Koze dropped. He played it on Saturday too, at Tiesto, and everyone goes nuts when they hear this. Lots of vocals, kimd of reminds me of Thunderstruck by ACDC. I am dying to find out the name of thisa song. Pleae help me!!

Cheers
