First off, the whitehouse.org thing is a parody. The real whitehouse is whitehouse.gov

Actually, here in the west (west being North America, mostly the US really), we are quite clean compaired to many many other parts of the world. In america, you can have people shooting each other, buildings blowing up, people dying, hand to hand fights, ect in a pg-13 movie. But you add one small nipple or something remotely sexual and its instantly R. Even a nonviolent or offensive movie that would normally get a G or PG rating that shows even a slight amount of artistic nudity gets R. In most everywhere else in the world, its the exact opposite (europe mostly, but also china/japan). There is a much more relaxed atmosphere on sex/pornography. And they have much less cases of rape, STDs and teen pregnancy than we do. You cant really argue with the numbers. America's view on nudity and sex is extremely draconian. I remember the middle school "Abstenence pledges" we were supposed to take. I dont ever think they took the time to tell us anything more than "just dont do it." Of course, this fell on deaf ears in a room filled with teenagers, where you could practically smell the hormones :D
Anyways, I dont like any of this "pornography rots the soul" . Im sure all you anti-porn, anti-sex, anti-humanity activists still enjoy a good action flick or shooter video game. The reason you dont go (well, i hope you dont :D) shooting down everyone you see in the street after playing quake or watching the matrix is because you can differentiate between realtiy and fantasy. |

Don't see what's wrong with porn. If you say it's a disgrace for a woman to show her body, then you should ban models also. Or get more radical and forbid them to show their bodies at all. Some women like to show their bodies, and in my opinion there's nothing wrong with that as long as they are not forced into it. Those women probably don't think of sex as a sacred act, so it's not a problem for them to do that for public.
I agree with njrizer completeley. Sexuality is natural and can't be classified as "not good". Children should not be protected too much from it because that bounces back and usually leads to perversions and sick sexual ideas. Not to mention those children do something wrong when mastrubating, and therefore have a sense of guilt. A penis and a vagina are normal parts of human body and it's stupid to hide them and hold them offensive.
