| I was never one to pay much thought as to what "genre" a song is. I say...if it kicks butt and gets you movin', then who gives a rat's ass what you call it besides good? |

I think I want to join the fun too ...
I would not consider Flight 643 to be progressive trance and also I wouldn't agree with Infinity's definition of "progressive".
If you go by that, almost every track "progresses" and gradually builds up ... so by that logic all trance would be progressive.
Flight 643 is just plain normal hard trance ... it is driven by the standard trancey drum patterns and synths. In this case the main synth line is very aggressive and dirty sounding but that still doesn't make it tech-trance or progressive. |

With a post like this its no wonder that people don`t know what they are talking about. Here are the simple DEF for Trance ,Progressive Trance { slowly builds up } , Epic { has a BIG sound } , Uplifting { Happy } , Dream { echo , delay ,floting pads } . Simple :) |

"Cant we all just get along" Seriously, Isnt it a little childish to throw insults at people over something as trivial as Genre Wars? The last part of PLUR is respect, that means 4 everyone (especially their opinions). And my god, Its not like its ravers vs. rednex or Blacks vs. Whites etc..., we all like exactly the same damn kind of music, do most of the same things 4 fun, go to the same places etc...If you want to find a good argument go to like monstertrucks.com or microsoft.com. Personally, I dont really like the song all that much and dont care if you want to classify it as ambient country and western.
BTW, it's plain old hard trance and that's that. Discussion over. |

When I first heared that Tiesto had a new song I immediatly thought that it would be progressive but after a listened to the track I wasn't too sure of myself.. I think It's a mix of multible Genres.. But it doesn't really matter, does it.. IT's A GREAT TUNE!!! :D
