No! Most uplifting songs does not sound "HAPPY"
When I say Happy , I mean melodys that goes like this:
Na na naaa la di daaaaa! heh...:wtf:
Melodies that has no emotional features, melodies that u can predict what the next note is going to sound like.
That's cheese!
Uplifting doesn't sound happy to me, it sounds emotional! |
LOL.....laaa di daaa  |

"Cheesy" is just a tool used by a hater to label the musik that he/she doesnt likes. It's meaningless.
Listen to whatever you like, listen to Alice Deejay or ing Spice Girls for all you care, who gives a . Why are you scared of being flamed for liking something that you like?
It doesn't matter |

| Simple baseline, simple and cheap melody, formulaic loops, and just a cheap sound overall. |

Cheap, predictable and blatently rushed production probably with some really high pitched vocals about love or something stuck over the melody. If these vocals were removed you would be left with something even a 12 year old wouldn't listen too.
The video probably contains loads of shots of either a) someone chasing somebody, b) small group of people dancing or c) group of mates getting ready to go out.
Just my opinion of course :) |

Lustral - Broken (Way out West Mix)
Aurora - Ordinary World (Above and Beyond Mix)
Lange f Skye - Drifting Away
|
1) no
2) yes for it's connection with Duran Duran, still a good track tho
3) Yes, but the sunset dub is awesome :)
There's no real way to class a tune as cheesy, and I find it even harder to describe why I think a tune is cheesy. I just know theres a difference between good cheese and bad cheese, and there is some good cheese out there, but then again theres some ing awful stuff out there :( |

cheesy trance = commercial trance

Cheese = Scooter...
A track with only one intention behind...to sell like hell and make money. Tracks with simple melodies so the "children" and people that dont really listen and know much about trance will buy it and think ist cool and go around and say for ex. "Hey have you ever heard Rocco - Everybody? god that is good Techno"
Fragma - Toca me, is a good example... They just added vocals and released it under another name Tocas Miracle and it was an instant Hit. But everyone who loved Toca me hated it, they had totally ruined the tune...and their reputation... |
