i voted 1997, because that's when I really got into trance.
I listen to electronic music since 1990 i guess, 2 unlimited, and the older classics. |

1992 here. Listening to 2 Unlimited, and other groups like them at the time. Got into 'Trance' with the Dr. Trance Radio hour, later called the Dr. Trance Radio Show (it went up to two hours). I used to tape each show, and dub the songs I liked into one mix. Some that I remember the most:
Legend B - Lost in Love (Baby Doc remix)
Astral Projection - Power Gen
Morning Wave - Dreams (a song later popularized by Miss Shiva)
Then the Dr. Trance show became technopolis on 1groove.com radio, which was broadcasted in CIUT (U of T radio) in S. Ontario.
Then, there was napster, and then TA. |

my friend showed me Mauro Picotto - Komodo, in may of 2001.
it blew me away. now that i think about it, i dont know why.:D
also, he showed me "Kayla Moss - Paradize" which was pretty cool too. :D |

i'm gonna go ahaid, be an ass, and vote for 1996, because that's approximately when i started listening to robert miles, scooter, and all other "rave" music that was considered underground (kai tracid - your own reality (some weird techno mix) I HAVE THE TAPES back from 1998/1999 i recorded from ukrainian radio....
although i only 'met' delerium/atb/tiesto/matt darey in july/august 2001 |

I think that counts, dood. I've got some old trance comps that had Robert Miles and Scooter tunes on them. :) |
