PvD DvD CD a little monotonous?

| Ok just a few weeks ago there was a post saying that PvD's remixes were all the same and nothing really unque. I was defending PvD, but after listening to the Global DvD CD even i am now wondering whats up. Theres nothing really drastically different about these remixes, so what was the intention of the remakes for the Global DvD. Not any other remixes i know what the purpose of those are, at least i think i do.......... So what do you think? |

5 of the tracks out of the 13 were reworked for the cd. And a rework isnt like a remix. Nothing is supposed to be dramatically changed. Infact, i bet on the actual cd cover, it wont even say that these 5 tracks are reworked. I wish people would stop saying PvD isnt unique becoz his reworks are so similar to the originals, coz the that is the god dam point in a rework. He makes minor changes to fit in with the style of his set. He doesnt release them, he doesnt make any money with them, and if u question vandit about them, they usually deny that paul has touched the track, so its not like they even want u to no he's touched it... u get the point.

| I know that youre saying Mikey, my impression with the tracks being labeled 2003 and what not i thought they were supposed to be different. I mean thats why i was like only questioning the cd. I knoe all the others are just made to fix PvD's mixing style and what not. So why do you thiink he touched the tracks in the first place for the cd? |

-It's just a bonus cd, not an album. All focus will be on the video made on his world tour.
-He just does a few small changes to make the tracks fit better between newer tracks.
-Remixing these classics is useless. You just can't make them any better. |

hmm.. i guess he's just trying to make these oldies more up-to-date. I no the changes are small, but i really love what he's done with seven ways and forbidden fruit. Infact, pvd has actually made a 2001 rework of seven ways as well for vandit nite few years back, and it isnt much different from his 2003 rework. But still.. i love the tracks :) |

| Yea dont get me wrong the changes and added breaks make the songs even better in my opinion, i was just under the impression this was supposed to be like ground breaking remixes ya know? |

naaa.. thats what VDT2 will be for ;) And Vandit Sessions 2, and eventually Pauls nxt album. Cant wait :) |

hahah thats class.. I love those mayday videos. Its an event where paul really lets himself go. Jumping up and down like a mad man, and everything. I hope one day i get to go to. Mayday 2004.. im there! :p |

| all those songs rocked before....but there is definitely a difference. listen to the new forbidden fruit mix at a respectable club and you won't say it's the same. pvd uses more and more new sounds every time he produces something and he's giving his old classics a new flavor by doing this. i love it. |
