Yet Another Suicide Bombing

This thread has no real means of debate, just to keep you posted:
18:35 today, January 5th, two suicide bombers just exploded at the area of the old central station, Tel - Aviv. So far there are 30 wounded, of them 7 in critical state, 7 in mid-to-heavy wound state and also 15 dead. |

Nablus branch of Al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, wing of Arafat’s Fatah, took responsibility over Arabic TV Al Jazeera for double suicide bombing Sunday night in Tel Aviv, which claimed 19 lives and left 114 injured
Earlier, Jihad Islami`s Damascus HQ claimed to have carried out dual terror attacks, the first of 2003 and one of the deadliest in more than two years of Palestinian campaign of violence.
Extra-large bombs contained ball bearings and sharp metal fragments, making injuries more severe.
Sharon`s inner defense cabinet confers before midnight Sunday in special session. Israeli political sources hold Arafat ultimately responsible for attack, as he gives consistent green light to terrorist activity |

I feel for those people who have lost their lives.. truly a sad incident without a doubt. I hope those suicide bombers burn in hell.....
But what im even more afraid about now is the reaction Sharon will have... how many innocent palestinians will die as they "weed out terrorists" after this incident.... |

Cyrus King... what should Sharon and the IDF do then after such an attack against humanity?
Should they just let those responisible at the higehr level get away with it?
Is it israels fault these cowards hide amongst their women and children thinking isreal wont come after them because of international presures?
You now have a country scared to and demanding its PM to do something to protect them!
As PM of Israel, what would you do to 'weed out' these terrorists?:conf: |

i hate to inform you all of such a sad occurance. the death toll is now at 22 and expected to climb in the next couple of days.
may g-d rest their souls.
innocent men women chilren - lifeless. leaving behind so many loved ones!
may the purpetrators of this crime burn in hell! |

More secure measures should be taken to find these culprets during their planning stages. Bringing in tanks and demolishing villages wont solve the problem...also.. the Israeli government should take into consideration why people are so willing to kill themselves for a cause. |

more secure measures??? when we tried more secure measures in jenin where over 20 of our own soilders died trying to root out terrorist, they said we coused a massacre. we tried not sending in choppers that spared innocent palistinans lives.... you must understand, we cant keep losing 20+ soilders everytime we try and catch the enemy!!!
they catch so many in the planning stages only when they go into these territories and find the bomb labs set up and what not. this is the only way we could deter these bombings from taking place aside from intencive intelligence already in place!
The reason for these people to be so willing to kill themselves has very little to do with israel!! The PA incites these people from a very young age with lies and hatred for a jew! they are miseducated and have very little to no access to international media!! they are lead to believe the lies put out by their governments and radical groups.
they are heavily brainwashed and lied to...
these islamic radical groups pray on those who have lost someone in the fight 'to liberate palistine (whatever that means)', they would be easier targets to brainwash.
there is a heavy presence of these groups in all the PA areas and these put on rallies and incite hatred against israel.
they have many recruiting offices for would be bombers..
many of the bombers caught b4 they we're able to kill we're found to have high levels of drugs supposedly to make sure they dont back down from what they have been set out to do.
once the world realizes that its not israel whos doing this to them, but themselves, then thats when things will get accomplished and a new terror-free regime can come into play. only after this should talks abuot a palistinian state take place!!!

You are just stating ONE element as to why these people kill themselves....you forgot to mention that they also feel revenge after seeing their commrades and friend get shot in the head as they throw stones at tanks in protest of their presence..or apache helicopter strikes in civilian territories..You cant say that brainwashing alone will lead to someone who would kill themselves for a cause.... And please dont assume that i agree with suicide bombing becuase of my response.. i just think that both sides... espescially the Israeli government is partially at fault with respect to this issue. |

Cyrus, your wrong though here. Obviously such things are an element. But these elements do not lead to terrorism. In other parts of the world, civilians die in much more brutual ways, in more quantities, and also from superior forces, yet do not resort to terrorism, and especially not horrific acts like homicide bombers.
What makes the Palestinian suffering worse then that of an East Timorese? Or a African during Aparthite? Or even the families of the very vicitims on the Israeli side of these horrendous attacks?
So yes, the death of comrades does have an element - an element that the culture and brain washing of the Palestinian terror and government groups use to influence the minds of recruits into reoccuring such endevaours. But one would be hard press to link such a result to Israeli action, especially when it comes in retaliation. |
