doesn't that imply he is grown up to begin with? teeheehee

hmmm
pvd ownz0rz j00!!!1111 :p

this is the tracklist from the last set of his i downloaded:
code:
Paul van Dyk - Live at Club Okyo in Monstermix at P3 [11-17-2002] 1. Paul van Dyk - Another Way (Club Mix) 2. Blackeight - The Silence (Original Dub) 3. Sasha - Wavy Gravy (Paul van Dyk Rework) 4. Solid Sleep - Club Attack (Paul van Dyk Mix) 5. Marco V - I Feel You (Paul van Dyk Mix) 6. Umek - Gatek (Oliver Lieb Remix) 7. Paul van Dyk - Unknown 8. Dark Monks - Insane (Steve Murano Remix) 9. John Askew - New Dimension 10. Humate - Love Stimulation (Paul van Dyk Mix) 11. Noemi - Y.O.U. (Mezziah Mix Paul van Dyk Re-Edit) 12. Flutlicht - The Fall (Deep Fall Mix)

i don't see any cheese in there. or shockers. its just a great mix with great tracks and great transitions. you don't like hard trance which is fine. im not big on the hard nrg stuff as much either. but i would hardly call flutlicht cheese, or cosmic gate for that matter either. hell i hardly call anything cheese, its like my pet hate on this website. its a shame i hardly remember any moments from pvd's set in may because at the time i absolutely loved it.
hmm
yes, you are in trouble :p

I hope not! Psy rules! nearly as much as goa. Does any body else know PVD's remixs of Romanthony's nightvision, Never F#ck they are not remix in a can by an means. the late night mix is a great house track that goes into breaks half way through! I have a few of his tunes littered around my room and i like all of them.

forgot to tell any of you TAs about my christmas present from my housemate....

haha nice one bedrock.

1. Paul van Dyk - Another Way (Club Mix)
2. Blackeight - The Silence (Original Dub)
3. Sasha - Wavy Gravy (Paul van Dyk Rework)
4. Solid Sleep - Club Attack (Paul van Dyk Mix)
5. Marco V - I Feel You (Paul van Dyk Mix)
6. Umek - Gatek (Oliver Lieb Remix)
7. Paul van Dyk - Unknown
8. Dark Monks - Insane (Steve Murano Remix)
9. John Askew - New Dimension
10. Humate - Love Stimulation (Paul van Dyk Mix)
11. Noemi - Y.O.U. (Mezziah Mix Paul van Dyk Re-Edit)
12. Flutlicht - The Fall (Deep Fall Mix)

This PVD track list is exactly that, most of it is his own stuff. He should save that for the paul plays paul and vandit nights. This set is full of his remixes in a can as theyve been cleverly dubbed here. Sasha - Wavy Gravy (Paul van Dyk Rework) He added a 4/4 beat, so it would be easier for him to mix. If he released that then good, easier for everyone else to mix, but as it is these are never released and serve only to make his job as dj easier. 4 Tracks that arnt his own. I reckon thats pretty dodgy.

But thats just me.

i think he does his re-edits/worx to make the traxx fit into his sets, and with some he just gets rid of the annoyin parts in a song, like with that synth in YOU (Mezziah remix) [not really annoying, but it sorta changes the trak], and with the silence he gets rid of the vocal during that awesome piano riff, makin it sound even beta imo, with wavy gravy & guide me god, they're sorta like AvB - sunburn, they aren't really omfg i die hrhrhr haxxor traxx, they're just good to play in a live set cause they sorta maintain the energy, if ya get what im sayin

my point is:
PvD doesn't need to change traxx to mix them, he's PvD ffs, he does it to make em sound beta
escee
Gravy with a 4/4 doesnt sound better. In my opinion it doesnt fit in to sets either. I mean its a really chill track, now with a 4/4. That doesnt make it fit any better into the middle of a pumping set. Especially when club attack is the next track.

I just really disagree with his reworks.
DJ_Ballistic
i like the original more too

but it's got that uber long buil-dup that just wouldn't fit into his set, and agreed club attack wasn't the best song to play after, but in the Vandit Studio Set it sounds good
jåcë
I think he's a great DJ, he certainly knows how to get a crowd pumping
true about his re-works though.. pretty poor for a producer of his status

jdat
I see there's been bad talks about pvd around here :haha:

Well one reason why I personnaly like him is that he holds the distance .... not many other djs out there are like that
