Anybody know the official capacity and the actual capacity they bring in for the big name djs.

Last year when I was at the Guv for Ferry Corsten I asked one of the security guys the same question. He said that it was at capacity that night, and that capacity was 7000. I don't know if that's changed since then, or whether it was event dependant. That should give you a rough figure to work with though.

This has been posted before (I can't be arsed to dig up the thread so I'll post the answer again) or you can just go HERE for Guv stats, I tried looking for the Koolhaus specs as well but I can't find em. Anyway Guv main room has room for about 1600 comfortably, we all know that it gets to twice that (BLEH)! Koolhaus I think is about 2000? Maybe more.

nothing beats the good ol' BLC at 15,000 .. ! :P
maxtuh
i guess its about 4000 people.

official guv MAIN ROOM capacity is 3000-3500....but I don't believe it cuz dunno how you can fit that many damn ppl in there. I know the koolhaus's limit is 2300.

haha, Remember Labour of Love? What was that capacity? 8000+? I don't think Guv has a "maximum". I think their maximum is reached when they make over 100% more money than projected:)

Okay, there is absolutely no way that the capacity for guv is 7000. A really good friend of mine used to work as a bouncer at Guv and he told me that he knows for a FACT that the actual capacity there is "suppose" to be around 1600. That was what it meant for. I was shocked when I heard this because I'm positive the Guv is breaking the law because there is a hell of a lot more people there than 1600, more like you said 7000.

Perhaps the bouncer was talking about the capacity of the whole complex? I honestly remember him saying 7000. Maybe he just had no clue?

What Endlesswave said is probably right. I mean it really depends on who you talk to. Kool Haus fits more people than the main room. Besides I wouldn't trust anyone who works there now and tell me that the capacity is 7000. We all know that they are breaking the law anyways when you have that many people in there.

When we are squished like sardines is when they have 7000 people in there. I remember the days at Guv where it had around 1600 people there, all nice and comfy with lots of room to dance and room to walk around and talk to people.

Agreed 100%. Labour of Love defied all laws of physics

Who cares people... whatever the damn capacity of the club is, they will still find a way to squeeze at least twice as many people in there!

And just for the record, one thing I noticed the guy at the door does when the capacity reaches 1000 people is reseting the counter to zero, so even if the inspectors came by to check up on them, the official count would be around a thousand or so people... now, if the inspectors decide to take a sneak peak inside, that's a completely different story.
