Ok, this is an idea I have been toying with for a little while now and perhaps it was raised before but I wanna throw it out there for discussion.
Everyone agrees that TranceAddict.com has grown immensely and has become one of the biggest, if not the biggest, sites for tranceaddicts across the world. Many producers/djs recognize us, the TAs and even give shot-outs on their gigs. What I want to find out is given our leverage, would it be possible to have a monthly/bi-weekly/weekly chat with our favorite DJs producers??? Considering we represent majority of buyers of the records/cds/club tickets we might be able to squeeze it out. We can even have a monthly/weekly/bi-weekly newsletter with interview published in it. This would be a big step for TA not only in terms of offering something extrodinary for its members but also would put us on a "larger map" -as not just bunch of kids who listen to that "electronica" but as a group of individuals to recognize. But that's a side issue. Anyway, comming back to the main point,
How difficult/feasible would it be to set up those chats/interviews with our favorite producers/DJs.
I would volunteer as much time as needed to get this set up and rolling, even publish/help with publishing newsletter.

| but we want it here! As CynepMeh says, it would definately elevate Tranceaddict to a higher level of internet hierachy. Peeps like Armin regularly come here to chat and stufff, i'm sure he could be persuaded! :) |

Armin????????DAMN!!!! why am I not around when that takes place??? Anyway, I agree that perhaps other sites do it but I don't want to go to another site, I want TranceAddict to be recognized. After all, we are what makes this site and we can make it better. Besides, I doubt there's another site that caters to North America's trance addicts more than this one. I would love to be a part of getting it done (or at least die trying) :p

| heh, i dunno about regularly, but i usually hear about him going into chat and stuff, maybe some other TA's can verify for me. Also Dumonde, Plastic Angel, Airbase and some other famous peeps browse the forums every now and then. :) |

BTW, iVibes looks too cluttered (it annoys the hell out of me) and I would not want to be a part of site that in their article about DJ Mag's top 100 djs' of 2002 typed "Armin van Buuran" and "Paul van Dyke"......

It is a good idea, but in order to do that you must have connections, know who to talk to, and when to set it up
that's where most problems arise.
Who doesn't want to talk to PvD in a chat?
Well, we at ivibes have interviewed almost all big DJs/Producers (apart from a few), and we are implementing them all into a chat.
This week is Dumonde (half of it)
and the following two weeks have big guests also.
But expect this year:
a chat with Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren, DJ Tiësto, Mike, Airwave, DJ Fire, Max Graham, John Digweed (this is gonna be hard), and any other DJ you want.
We try to get them in there, but it has to fit their and ours schedule :) |
