My brother was on it for about a year (quite severe acne on his back and shoulders), and found that the only side-effect he suffered was dryness of the skin. He's got scars, but it sure as hell cleared him up for good -- he's never EVER had another pimple. :)
I wouldn't worry overly about the side-effects -- enough people take it with positive results to mean that the good should outweigh the bad. |

I thought i heard something about this on the news yesterday? I wasn't really paying attention but i thought they said something about them banning it soon because of all the side affects??
I was supposed to go on it a couple years ago but after reading all the possible side affects i decided not to try it. Tried that antibiotic Minomycin or mixomycin whatever its called and that didn't do squat.
If you start getting side affects just stop taking it...easy! |

Well i used to take this for a few months... like 3/4 i think.. but that only calmed them down... they don't actually cure them...
But now im on Roaccutane, this is my 2nd month going into my 3rd month.... but the thing is .. my dose has been 10mg... now its gonnna be increased to 20mg per tablet... so yeah.. has anyone had any experiences when the dosage, in this case to double/???
Im going to see my specialist on Friday... well C how it all goes.. well this past 2 months... not much has happened, only that i haven't got any new ones and the present ones are slowly disappearing.. but it will take a while for it to work since i know of some people that have taken it...
Oh well... the side effects can be severe but the only thing ive gotten is a few nose bleeds and dry lips like hell... but its worth it cause progress is coming..
And the dood that killed himself??? It does cause depression but yuo are already depressed because you are always self concious of what people think of you, but i can say it happens to me also, but that kid looked like he was a mongoloid seriously, you will have suicidal tendencies as probably he didn't do and just sat around all day thinking up...
We all get a little psycko on Roacc... but thats just the side effects.. if you can't deal with them, you can always leave the treatment.. |

| maybe the tablets are only 10mg, i couldnt remember, 40mg must have been what i was on at the end. Doubling the dosage doesnt really affect you that much i found. |

I was on it for 9 months! long time i know! bnut it damn well worked for me, i was on it all through my year 12 year at school. i started with 1 tablet a day then 2 then eventually i was onlike 4-5 a day! it sounds a lot but the dermatologist was confident!
I had really bad cracking of the lips, so lip gloss is your best friend! never leave home with out it! also my skin was very very sensitive to the sun and heat, liek i remember once i had a hot shower as you do but the next day my hands were all read and they peeled!
i think you get scars if you pick ther pimples? im not sure but i dont have any scars whatsoever and ive had not one xince! apparently its got a 99% suiccsess rate or something!
with regards to other side effects, well i had none, i still drank alcohol while i was on it and i was fine, no depression no nothin just the physical aspects, i loved the stuff made me feel good about myself, gave me confidence!

From what ive heard and read they don't intend on banning but instead giving patients out there much more warning that already exists. A high profile user, i havent seen it mentioned was Jason Akermanis for Brisbane Lions. HE found that when he was taking this medication, he felt fatigued, tired and never had any enrgy for pre-season training and piled on the kilos. In saying this though it did help his acne.
I don't think a drug can cause suicide tendencies unless there are already deep emotional issues in the person so i think that is all hyped up.
