The drugs effect differs from person to person. Roacuttane is some serious ...did you try anything else before going on this?

yes Roaccutane is only my last resort. Yes Clearisil is , it does nothing, and anti biotics are half decent.

You are required by law to take anti biotics before you take roaccutane, and if they don't have much effect then Roaccutane can be legally prescribed. Hehehe I havent got any side effects yet. I know they'll come but I wil take them on, cause I know what lays ahead in 6-8 months *im excited!* :happy2: :happy2: :happy2:

The gov can't tell doctors how to treat patients. the medical association can only give guidelines.
What you mean is that the PBS won't pay for the drugs unless you follow the guidelines.

Try that rather than Roaccutane :D

That only works on Jr. High acne...

Hey dudes, (and dudettes??)

I was a bit interested in this drug as well, but it gets lots of bad press here in America as well...

Curious if any women have tried this?? Or are there no women on the Aussie boards??:stongue:

Thanks for all the input. One thing that has worked really good for me (that prolly works almost as good as accutaine), is a laser treatment called the "smoothbeam laser." It's really pretty new in the states, so I don't know if they have it down under yet....
It works on scars too, but making them appear more shallow!

If yuo want to know more about that you can do a search for "smoothbeam laser."
A lot of the time people with allergies get acne, and something that works reasonably good for me is this:

www.naet.com

It eliminates allergies, and it's good stuff!!!!!
Anyways, good to see some positive reports. I might take this stuff too soon maybe...:conf:
But i don't look too bad as I used to anymore...:happy2:

The side effects look scary as hell though...:nervous:

Btw, at the doctors office I go to to get the laser on my face, there is a doctor who proscribes roacutaine there. And most of the people I've seen getting prescriptions have been women...maybe because they are more self-conscious than men//?? :conf:
