Creatine is found in the body, but it is burned up in a matter of seconds. We use it only when we need quick, short bursts of energy. Creatine supplements are not actually proven to help build up more muscle mass, which is what you and other users are trying to do. Also, when taking it, drink lots of H2O with it because it is very dehydrating.. If you really want to know more about it.. go to www.acsm.org or I think that's the website..Just look up American College of Sports Medicine and search the site for creatine.
I can't remember anything else I learned on it, but a while ago, I did a short essay on creatine for a nutrition class at a college. The website should provide some more info if you really want to know more.

Never used it, but I know its banned in the majority of profesianal sports around the world. If I remember correctly it's because it causes an increase in your heart rate, and while your working out, it can be pretty bad.

Dude just work out naturally. additives and . If you have to take creatine to feel good when working out or just in general physical fitness you should probably do something about it. All I do is run and I feel great about my fitness. What creatine does is make your body absorb water and proteins faster, so you don't have to recuperate from a hard workout, you can work out everyday instead of taking a day off to let your body regain vitamins etc. You are basically stimulating your body so you can work out twice as much in half as much time, sounds great because people will say side effects are minimal, but you ahve to remember that when you take anything un-natural for your body, there are bound to be some side effects. I tell this to lots of my friends because I dont like watching people I know around with their bodies. I know some people have had sideffects like excessive sweating and not being able to go to sleep. I dunno, i just think you should go for a run everyday instead of taking it.

I'm also not sure if you can become dependant on it, but I think you would be to some degree, so that is also a negative factor imo.

creatine is BS...yea you'll get stronger and bigger quick...but it's basically all water weight, not lean muscle so when you stop taking it you'll shrink back to normal size almost instantly...a couple of my friends have taken it and haven't taken it again since because of these results

i heard like creatine screws up your hormonal balances and you start secreting less testosterone and more of the estrogen...

or maybe that steroids... i forgot...

there's no need to use any supplements of any kind whenever u do weights training and/or cardio training etc. the only reason i could think of, is that you're programme would be unbalanced with too great a load. this, alongside a diet which you probably dont watch, and you can soon see that its not surprising ur lacking natural energy.
i do weights training twice a day, 6 days a week as well as running 3 times a week. i don't take any supplements/bodybuilding drinks of any kind. my 'secret' if you can call it, is simply watching what i eat. this doesn't mean i eat a strict diet of salad :P i rarely have fast food (maybe once a week for a treat), and keep my junk food intake low (maybe some chocolate once a week, and a small amount) the kind of things i eat alot of are: bread, cereals, pasta, noodles, vegetables, fruit, meat, dairy products. with this range, i can easily combine them in many meals a day that taste ing awesome without the grease of fast food.

but anyway, if u wanna talk/ask something u can pm me (aussie to aussie :P), however since you asked for creatine info i'll give u it anyway...

Creatine monohydrate is an amino acid derivative that participates in energy production in cells. Over 90 percent of the creatine in the human body is localised in muscle, much of it in the form of creatine phosphate. Its concentration is especially high when a large amount of chemical energy is converted into mechanical energy. Creatine phosphate serves as a store of energy in muscle, and it prodides a reserve of high energy phosphates that can be rapidly mobilised to maintain the intracellular level of ATP (the main source of energy for all cells). Creatine monohydrate is regarded as a necessity by most bodybuilders. Creatine monohydrate is the most cost-effective dietary supplement in terms of muscle size and strength gains. It can not only increase power and strength, but it may also support protein synthesis. Since creatine supplementation affects water and electrolyte balance, extra caution should be taken to consume a balanced diet with plenty of minerals (especially potassium) as well as to drink a lot of water. There is no preferred creatine supplement, but it is believed that creatine works best when it is consumed with simple carbohydrates. This can be accomplished by mixing powered creatine with grape juice. Some bodybuilders use creatine mixed with water thirty minutes before meals or are using creatine supplements, which contain carbohydrates.

all this aside, no matter what supplements you take, you won't build muscle and a good physique if the deep desire and dedication isnt there.

to Euphorica@AUS . I started to use creatine powder a while ago, and the effects were amazing, you need to have a good amount of body mass, if your skinny then it will not work and it will be passed through your system as normal , there is suppose to be lots of side affects like spots and that which i think is bull . the powder was to much hassle mixing it so i went on the pills , and i have seen a lot of difference . It is not advised to do any other drug or drink while creatine is in the body , as it will not work , belive it or no t, there is creatine in everybodys body , of course if you add more , body mass and tissue will develop , of course you will need to work that mass into muscle.

check these links to get the real advise , and not all the rumours.
