Atkins Diet (pg. 2)

Heh. I used to work at a store where we sold soely Atkins kind of stuff. Bars, breads, cakes, ice cream, everything sugar freee and low carb stuff. You are allowed to have like 20 carbs a day on the Atkins I believe. It takes three days to get your body into mitosis (making it think that your not eating) and then after three weeks into the diet your allowed to gain your carb intake.
You see the good thing about atkins is that its a high protein diet. Meaning when you loose all of the weight you dont get flabby and like you would on a low calorie diet of some sort. You keep the muscle that you already have but burn the fat.
No lie, low carb products are extreammmmllyyy expensive. We used to charge like six dollars for a loaf of breads. Yes an arm and a leg. Although I have seen some people loose some serious weight on Atkins. About 60 pounds in 5 months (most people dont work out everyday). If you are going to cut down on carbs you definitly need to buy some low carb products. Eating these products gets your mind off of the regular sugar filled foods that you are used to and it definitly makes a difference which means you are less likely to cheat and binge. Working there meant that I had to try most of the stuff and I'll tell you its not all that bad. Certain you have to watch out for though.
About gaining the weight back, with any diet that you loose alot of weight on you are most likely to gain it all back if you go back to the way you used to eat before you started. As long as you work out and watch what you eat aafter your off the diet you'll be fine.
If you want to loose 15 pounds, do the atkins for about a month w/ cardio workouts everyday and I bet you'll loose 20 by the end of the month.

forget the atkins diet.
1. limit yourself to fruits and salads for meals
2. NEVER touch ice cream, soda, chocolate or candy
3. work out everyday for 2 hours
4. do sits up and push ups before sleep and after you wake up |

My body is totally messed up, this summer in Poland, I lost 6 pounds but i have no idea how...
Typical day...
get up at 1, lunch, leave...
come home at 5, snack, goto bar
drink 3-4 Litres of beer over a span of 3-4 hours with proper pretzel/lolipop combo....
Make out with random ChiXoRz for about an hour...
Somehow woddle my way home....
Sleep
Rinse, Lather and Repeat :toocool: |

Well crack does raise your heart rate to dangerous levels after all. |

| the atkins diet does work but it's not good for your body...any diet where you cut out any of your daily food groups is bad for you...the weight watchers diet is probably the best because you can eat anything that you want but you just don't eat as much of it...the best way to lost weight...seeing how i've lost 45 lbs one summer doing it...is to start your day early and actually eat 5-7 small meals a day...this keeps your metabolism working throughout the day...on top of that just start doing cardio workouts and lift weights. |

I bit of advice, if you want to diet chose one that you know you can do! I'm doing the points plan from the weight watchers and it's a diet that you can keep up. I'm a chocaholic too and I know how much suffering it is ;) Well good luck to you!

Remove the word "diet" from your vocabulary. Diet simply suggests you're changing your eating pattern for a period of time, then going back to the "old" ways. What people need to realize is if you feel like going on a "diet", you probably just need to restructure your eating pattern (for life), and moderate some of the cravings you may experience.
Your eating habits will dictate, moreso than exercise, how much weight you will lose.

that .. doo this is what you need to to.. become active.. go dancing, go outside for walks.. get a dog and take it for walks... eat right... chocolate is ok.. but not alllll the time....
Its easy to loose weight... it took me 3 months to loose just under 20KG.... no diet really.. just taking in excess junk and all... its simple and i never read a book or nuffing... i don't know why common sense doesn't prevail on ppl... :rolleyes:
Oh yeah another thing.. avoid cereals... they are no good.. trust me.. way too many carbohydrates.. only take them if you are of an active lifestyle... or every other day.. stick to fruit, yogurt and toast...
If you stick to this i guarantee results...
