I am interested in Trance music from Russia. I have some friends, who moved from Russia to Germany, I've already asked them if they knew some Russian Producers/ Artists. But they only knew PPK, because they listen to Hip Hop, RnB...
:D
Could you list some tunes, plz? If you know tunes with Russian lyrics, you can list them too.
Thx in advance, people! |

Since when is Ruki Vverh trance? I always thought it was pop :)
Anyway, trance is just starting to develop in Russia, so there aren't many producers besides the known PPK.
I might suggest to you to listen to mixes of DJ Pimenov (PPK) on Dynamit FM, sometimes they are in the Oldo's hub (don't know 'bout EMC though). He promotes some tunes from russian producers, that are sent to him, but unfortunately i don't have the tracklistings to post :( |

I forgot to add: look for "arrival project" -> very nice :)
Eugene, I don't think that's trance... even though it's electronic... Ruki Vverh is probably house and Russkiy Razmer... I'm too sleepy to remember...
*remembers of "Sobaka Cheloveka luchshe drug"*
They have funny titles though "Dog's the man's best friend?"... lol :p |

lol. actually, they went from producing decent dance music to producing a terrible mix of pop & house stuff. pop house. lol!
i was just thinking about this russian trance music myself a few days ago and how i should research it more
arrival project is very nice.
Kosmonavtika (Cosmonautica?) produces really nice tunes
so does Sekventziya (Sequencia? help me out here, how do they translate themselves to english)
DJ Steam, DJ Astral, Neoris, Astral, Innova, DJ Gruv, Sputnik 55
the problem is that most tracks are often really hard to find
DJ Fonar plays some underground russian trance

there's a pop group, Gosti Iz Budushego (Guests From The Future), in 1998 they released a limited tape edition of REALLY nice ambient. they rereleased it in 2001 on cds, but it's still pretty rare to find. it's called Cherez Sotni Let (in hundreds of years)
01. Intro
02. Zvezdi Smotryat Vniz part 1 (stars looking down)
03. Voices
04. Cherez Sotni Let
05. Sad (Garden)
06. Zvezdi Smotryat Vniz part 2
if you manage to find any of guest of the future tracks - mad props. only recently i have been able to find the last 5 tracks, really nice ambient with some female vocals.
o_0 - check out Demo's first two albums, but especially the second one - DJ Remix 2000 (you can get them on the groups official site here, Demo - Solnishko (the sun) and DJ Remix 2000 just click on the blue MP3 picture next to the tracks' names)
***EDIT*** Dima Postovalov - aka Arrival Project - is one of Demo's producers. Arrival Project is the man! |
