Man, I dont go around saying: BRAZIL SUCKS Y'ALL! Cause it is not like that... The thing is, when someone say or asks me like: is there corruption etc, I dont answer: hmm... we won the world cup! You were making yourself look like such a selfless, problem-admitting nation that everybody just ran around saying that your country was full of problems and not looking at anything from a biased perspective.
I admit that a large majority if American foreign policy has very serious flaws. I admit that the US media broadcasts what it is told to broadcast.
I'm not saying the US is better than anyone or anything to that effect. I'm just saying don't go putting your country on such a high horse, because we all know that everybody backs their own country blindly to a point. |

and the arab world doesn't protect it's interest. You act like America is the only nation in the world that protects it's interest, bah. Why do you think Reagan cut a deal with the Arabs in 1980 to stop solar power research amoung other things, cause solar power was a threat to the arab way of life. Without oil, the arabs are nothing, and they know this. Solar power could eliminate the need for oil & so forth.
Without oil as an obsticle, we could fight the war on terror unchecked. |

Although the US government isn't perfect (far from it), it is the best government that has ever existed.
If you don't believe me, take some American government classes at your local college. Oh wait, you don't have a local college, that's right, well, instead of blaming your own government, lets just blame Americans and their import/exports right?!? |

Never mind that you cause these countries to be poor in the first place?? - how?? Well if these countries start to export any products that america makes - you put quotas on them - destroying their export business - making them poor etc.

Actually America does it for the rest of the western world as well, if we didn't what European power would stand for western interests. European societies would stand to lose a lot if Americans stop standing up for their own & western interests.
What countries saw the error of their ways a 100 years ago... Germany didn't, & fought 2 world wars, Japan didn't, the Soviet Union didn't and had the purges... Heck Russia had 3 governments in a century. The Chinese didn't learn a thing, they still kill babies on a regular basis.
Was there something to be learned from WWII, the errors of the French way... Yes, unfortunately no one understands what should have been learned from WWII. That international threats should be dealt with before they get too extreme. On September in 1939, France should have invaded Germany, when Germany invaded Poland. Heck, they declared war, but they didn't invade. Why not? This is the thing I learned from WWII. Other world leaders have learned from French ineptitude. It seems the French will only fight a war until enemy troops come marching into France. LOL Although lately, with the way the French stand on international affairs, I dont think they would fight even with enemy troops marching into France, they'd probably just cower & surrender without a fight. |

haha american colleges, most of your imports come from overseas don't they? and you've got the best educated Americans in the world? :stongue:

I dont think the American government is the best government par se, we have corruption here just like everyone else. I disagree with my government on many things, drug laws, economic policy, taxes, social service cutbacks, etc. |

Apart from the human rights abuses, the economic mismanagement, the complete contempt for the environment and the blatant ignorance of anything foreign? Oh yeah, apart from that (and the bumbling speaches) Bush and the guys holding his strings are doing a great job. :rolleyes:
