Ive made a sort of chilled breaks track, be interedted to see what people think.....please download (nice fast server) and tell me what you think :)

not too bad, I'm not a fan of the FM7 synth, but the melody is fairly nice :)
I think it would work well with a more powerful beat as well :) |

sweet track mate :) nice n chilled, good smokin music hehe ;) couple of snots:
i think maybe u should start the track with just the pad, and not the tinkly synth.. bring that in later :)
the break u use from the start right up to the breakdown, although its a very nice break by the time it gets to about 3.5 mins its wearing a little thin.. maybe make some alternate breaks to put in every 4 bars, or some nice twiddly little noises that will make the break sound a lil jumpier... basically the beat needs a little more variation. this goes for after the breakdown also :)
lovely synth work.. nice sweeping pads :) structure sounds like uve really thought it out well. as for the ending, very nice indeed :)
all in all its a quality track, will be staying on ma playlist for a while methinks :) |

Jeff, the breaks bore me after a bit too ;) Im not so good with percussion, it took a while to make what you hear, I got bored of doing them after that...

Yup, the breaks get stale after a while... also, I thought some of the melodies were too quiet.
All in all - a good track that's a bit too long given the elements in it.
btw - ever need help with breaks, gimme a shout ;) |
