I used to listen to a bit of everything.
Mainly Heavy Metal -

I think I started listening to Trance
around 18.
I was watching EC on Much Music, and
BBE - Seven Days and One Week was playing. Totally blew me away
I could never find that track in music stores - which was really depressing.

Just so happened about a year later a DJ ended up moving in with me - brought all his equipment with him, and that was one of the tracks he had in his vinyl collection.

He made me a recorded tape with

Hypertrophy - Eternal Flames.
BBE - Beautiful Day
Brainbug - Nightmare
and Da Hool - Meet Her At the Love Parade to name a few.

Totally hooked now.

Well, I was destined to be into trance since the age of 4 in 1987, when I heard some great Retro tunes like:

Art Of Noise - Moments In Love
Sandra - Heaven Can Wait; In The Heat Of The Night
Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence

If you know all of these, then you know what I mean ... Otherwise I heard my first trance song in '93 when then not-so-well-known Paul Van Dyk released X-Mix (The MFS Trip) CD. That CD is so fabulous, you gotta have it ... with the awesome trance classic
HUMATE - LOVE STIMULATION

I became a regular tranceaddict in about 2000 at the age of 17 when I heard trance []control on mp3.com, and realized that the type of music was called trance, not new dance as I considered it! LOL LOL LOL
