Well I first got into Techno at the age of 16 in the summer of my 16th b-day. I was listening to that cheesy fluff pure beatbox bad future tech music... that all changed when I first heard Thunder in Paradise and some realli cool songs from the Chemical Brothers... Shortly after I began searching for what i recently found T.R.A.N.C.E.
while I still prefer some Deep House and Tribal to most trance... I gotta admit almost all of my favorite songs are Trance mixed with a few hardstyle and tribal gemz.

and im positively enjoying the whole pop song turned into trance/club mix mania, this way i got a bunch of friends into trance music and they all became addicts as well... take that Justin Timberlake :whip:
Transcender
I was 14, in summer 1998. I wonder if I heard it before would I listen to?
I guess I would. I always liked electromic sounds, drumbeats, specific melodies... It was my and my only choice:happy2:
Trance was to change my mind...
So recently I had the big anniversary in my life:
5 years in TRANCE :)

No matter what age you are, human beings respond to music. Regardless of age, language, background or situation. That's what makes music universal, and powerful. Why should you be an 'embarassment to trance' because you are 14? Mozart was already writing opera by the age of 12! (Bastein, Bastienne) I doubt anyone would dare call him an 'embarassment'!!

For the record, I first heard trance music while playing pool with a friend of mine. And as track after track of the most ear-openeing music I had heard in a long time (My first musical love was classical, followed by a great interest in 1970's art-rock, like Yes and Genesis) I went and asked the bartender what was being played. It was a mix CD called 'Plastic, vol. 3' Which I promptly went out and purchased. The rest is history.

Oh yeah! How old was I? 23. I'm 28 now.

Well i heard trance in 94, i was 15. From the compelition called Psy-trance from the Id&T and x-mix nights on Mtv. And we had a radio station what played trance at 11 pm till 3 am

I think trance music came into Hungary early, becouse many Gemrmans came to our country and they brought the music with them.

I really hated electronic music when i was 12-13, my sister used to listen to Prodigy's first cd. I told her that Computer music is crap lol. I was into Guns and Roses.

But then i heard trance or rave whatever you call it, and i got hooked on

I started listening to trance and techno somewhere in 1995 at the age of 11. I heard artists like Gina G, No Mercy, Haddaway, La Bouch, Alexia, WOW!! In 2000, I bought Happy 2B Hardcore CH. 4 and that CD solidified my love for trance, techno, and house.

DJ Melody
:toocool: Well it all started when I was 13 years old (1999) and I was a big listener to Rock, such as Van Halen & other classics but it started to change when I heard a Dumonde song I accidentally downloaded which is 'Never look back' unfortunately it didn't bring me into trance (I didn't know what Trance was then)

:o However thanks to me playing Homeworld and hearing Barber's Adagio for strings (Which I did not know the name then)
and soon after hearing the Remix when I went Bowling for a friends Birthday, Saw the video something with a Tree, sky is moving thats all I remember of the video clip & words saying 'Barber's Adagio for stings' and the rest I did not get to see in time.......
That same day I went on the Homeworld Forums and looked up the "Homeworld Theme" I found it and read the messages talking about some 'Techno remix' of Barber's Adagio for strings.
SO I looked up on the net for it, then tryed a program called
Limewire put down Barbers Adagio for strings techno remix, after a few days of downloading some classical versons, I finally found it which is Ferry Corsten Remix of Barber's.
I still love it today!
Thanks to that its got me here in 2003 listening to what I consider great, Trance!:D
