Oceanlab - Clear Blue Water (Original Mix)
From a standpoint of emotion, this song simply obliterates any and all competition. Were it purely an instrumental track, it would be great, but combined with the most beautiful vocals ever to grace the music industry, it simply defies comparison with all but the greatest masterpieces.
The bassline is subtle enough not to distract you from the beauty of the song itself, but energetic enough to pull you into the song. The atmospheric sound effects are more beautiful than the majority of progressive masterpieces, much less those of uplifting trance. The lead melody is beautiful, if simple, and perfectly accentuates the, dare I say, perfect vocals.
This song is a once in a lifetime event, when a producer creates a song in which all the elements live together in perfect harmony, highlighting each others strengths and concealing each others weaknesses. Listening to Clear Blue Water is not like hearing a beautiful song. It is like hearing beauty itself. |

Sasha - Xpander
Every aspect of the track is 10/10
The production Quality of the tune is top notch, as are every tune by Sasha. Not Formulaic or in the least. Great melodic lines are slowly and smoothly brought in, and give way to other great melodic lines, slowly fading away to nothing, creating a sound texture that is constantly morphing and evolving.
It is an extremely Original Song, Nothing else I've heard really sounds anything like it, not even other Sasha Tunes.
This song is danceable as hell. It has a great groovy bassline.
The atmospheres created by this tunes elevate the mind into the outermost reaches of space and times. Nothing can take me further away from it all than this tune, very few of the greatest ambient tracks come even close, and you can't even dance to those.
I don't know how anything could top Xpander, it's seemingly perfect in every way. |

Have to say...
Tiesto - Sparkles (Transa Remix).
When i started getting to the point of knowing who was who in trance,
Dj names and such; this track left me in awe. It is so beautifull and epic. It is one of those tunes where it feels like you went on a magikal jouney by the time it ends. |

Gouryella - Gouryella [Original mix]
Gouryella being #1 first because of it's many reasons,
first real TRANCE, that i've heard, loved, and will always and continue to do so on and on..
it's quite beautiful, the original mix, the melody, the whole track keeps me alive, it's just one of the classics that's meant to say I <3 trance.. and i do, we all do, except this song, it's the one.. the key to <3ing trance so much as we all do now :) |
