Well it's your parents hot tub so, in my opinion, you have no right to get all full of piss and vinegar because they disapprove of you drinking and fornicating in THEIR hot tub.
What really gets to me about all of this is sense of entitlement to "do as I please anywhere I want". Obviously you have rights to do as you please, so long as it's not hurting anyone, but you are living on your parents' dime. They don't own you but when they expect you to obey a perfectly reasonable rule (like don't soil the hob tub son)
then you really have no reason to complain
Bascially you have two choices: Stay and obey some rules or move out and do as your wish. It's all a matter of personal preference, but this would seem to be a situation where you can't have the best of both worlds. |

You make it sound as if their qualms were not so much what he was doing, but where he was doing it. If that was the case, however, why would they be lecturing him about the possibilty of getting the girl pregnant? That has no relevance to the cleanliness of the hot tub. Likewise, how would implementing a rule prohibiting him from having female friends over in his room with the door closed serve to help protect the fragile hot tub from contamination?
The fact of the matter is that it's entirely aside from the issue. Trying to use it as an excuse for their irrational behavior is pretty lame, IMO. |

Thats true. But I just think that this was taken way out of proportion by my mom! I mean, What would you do if you son was in a hot tub with a girl? Would you say the same thing? Or not care? |
