My friends at school don't like techno but one of them and I had the same psychology class last term and we used to study to what we called the 'Smart music', which was either like Danny Howells compilations, Chicane live @ Palladium, Deep Dish Yoshiesque or Danny Tenaglia. No lyrics works the best, especially if you're trying to read. However if it's math or physics problem set type homework, you don't have to be as careful with the laid back, lyricless theme...I think language or captivating loud anthems in the background shouldn't bother you, and they would also maybe motivate you more, stuff like Trance Nation America II or slightly less dance-y Matt Darey (something)-Euphoria, was it Ibiza Euphoria or Pure Euphoria? Actually, ambient jungle/jazzy jungle also works for reading/studying like LTJ Bukem, which is very atmospheric...

Stuff like

I'm pretty sure it's
Tetra Flux - From The Past To The Present Future

not

Tetroflux - From the Past into the Present Future
:)

Anyways, agreed on both issues. Progressive is nice listening to, the music has to be sort of calm for me in order to concentrate. Dumonde style just doesn't work when trying to study...

Tetraflux is also very great. I have been listening to that track a lot since I got it...

There's a nice song called Forever on the flip, it's not as good as the a side, but still...
undertensecond
Chicane + Astral Projection = Power
Dj DoomForce
...exams are coming FAST and before i plead for advice on another thread,i guess i should bring back this one.
I just d/l chicane-palladium and im amazed! such sound quality, such terrific music(+to study too!)pitty thats its not a non-stop mix but anyway.
any other suggestions like this one? and if the set has no cheering-whistling etc.,even better!;)

DEFINITELY Tiesto live @Dance Department (538)

It's not so banging that it distracts you , but you won't forget that it is on. It's only about an hour long, and like 2mins of commercials to ignore, but its worth it.

I used this my my AP world civ midterm....did great, especially for not paying attention a whole quarter...
