OMG man your story sound like its from a fairytale :)
so my advise is grab the oportunity ASAP, don't let it slip through your hands cause you'll be sorry, if you prove to the manager (who seems to be educated about the scene, music etc and must have some connections) that you can do better or at least as good as a famous dj then I am sure you'll most likely start off a pro dj carier :)
just don't be nervous and don't think about it, when you show up and the guys hears your gonna battle with him hes gonna be lost, be positive, don't stress out and cream his ass ;)
tip - take some friends with you to the club, just to feel your buddies are by your side, should take some of the stress away :) they could also cheer for you when you are spinning so that you gain confiderce and make the manager think 'wow he's been here for only 5 mins and he's already got a fun club' LOLZ

lol thanks again for all the support guys....... for those of you that know me, im going thru a bit of a stage at the moment, and i have had a lot of disappointments and im having a really rough time..... but theres no way im gonna let this opportunity slide, i think ill do it in about 2 weeks, just need a little confidence.
I DJ'ed at an underground house party on saturday....... well it was a house party, then i realised where i was playing, was in a basement, in probably the best undergroundish room you could possibly imagine..... it was like the video for prodigy - no good start the dance (honestly) ....... also we had a 1k (thats 1000watts) sound system, inlcuding lasery type lights..... a lot of ppl that hadnt heard me b4, got a chance to hear me. and sumhow everyone seemed to know about my 'head 2 head battle' coming up, and sed id blow him out the water....... which was nice :D |
