omg, this is one of the more stupid things i've read recently. there is not going to be months to carpet bomb a country to the stone ages like in vietnam. if the us does strike, its going to have at most 30 minute window to destroy ALL of its intended targets, which btw is impossible even with the technological advances the us enjoys. because if this isn't achieved within that timeframe, there will be a mile-wide crater in what used to be seoul.
ever heard of scud launchers? the us couldn't seek and destroy a single one in the first gulf war even though they stand out like a green thumb in miles and miles of sand. its an impossible task to try destroy every single one in a country size of south carolina in half-an-hour, because all it takes is one to start a chain of events i can't even start to imagine.
that is why this is going to be resolved diplomatically... i hope... |

FYI: The Washington Post and I think Time recounted all the votes, and Bush would have won anyways, he actually would have gained more votes. And You mean Republicans, not "Damn Democrats" Bush is a REPUBLICAN, GORE is DEMOCRATIC. And why dont you blame everything else on the white man. huh. yeah its all our fault b/c we invented the krispy kream. thats what i thought |

I wonder... if the US does attack north korea, if the koreans will attack other countries also other than the US? I know they have a critical relationship right now with Japan, and they have fired test missiles over Japan in the past.. and most likely, Japan will be used for staging operations.
If North Korea attacks Japan, I just may go back and fight. |

North Korea's is an archaic regime ill suited to exist in today's world. China used to be like that but is starting to change. I think that the only way to resolve the issue with NK is through diplomacy in part because they posess the nuclear deterrent. If Bush's intention is to get rid of communism in NK than he has only to wait. Eventually NK's neighbours, especially China, will pressure it to follow suit in order to finally stabilize eastern Asia.
On another note. The US deficit for this year is estimated to be around $300 billion :eek: . I read somewhere that the operation in Iraq, if it goes forward (which it probably will), will cost the US another $100 billion. It's clear to me that Bush's agenda is going to bankrupt the United States at this rate. It looks like Osama might be winning after all. |

First of all, I dont blame stuff on WHITE people. (just Bush)
Second of all, I thoght Bush was democratic??????? Hmmm, I've must been smoking something. "Thats what I thought." ???? Your opinion does count, and thank you for correcting me. I'm just a dumb universtiy of Washington student.

Yes. I'm american. Yes. Bush is an idiot. He's a Texas hick using the US military as his shotgun. And instead of shooting squirels in his back yard, he's toying with the little guys that "present" a problem.
I think NK can be handled with diplomacy. The only card they have to play is the nuclear program when they get desparate and need help with their living. Desparate times. Desparate measures. I think if it wasnt for Iraq right now, this NK thing wouldnt be an issue. We'd have given them $ or fuel or food or whatever. But we cant be nice to them and be mean to Iraq at the same time. I actually think the world would be more with the US on NK because of the nuclear threats and making up issues to get help. NK affects a lot more around them like SK, Japan, Russia, and China.
My guess Bush is using the US to pick fights and win battles he knows we can win so the public with think he did a good job and get re-elected again. Cause if he doesnt do something great he aint getting voted in again because the economy sucks. And no one with vote a president in no matter how good he is if it hurts them in the pocket. So hopefully countries in the Middle East force Hussein out before Bush can attack. Then we can give NK some aid and we'd all be getting drunk peacefully!
