both of them are ing great but tiesto is the best in my opinion!!!
tiesto live et trancenergy 2000 - the best set ever!!!
and i was at the zoom when tiesto played live and it was awesome!!!
plus - paul van dyk also afraid playing in israel - he come to play in israel only once, last year and he was nothing like tiesto - tiesto come to israel more than 5 time a year ...
also his tracks selection is great ...

Pvd cancelled last October at Alenbi 58 b/c it was a dangerous time to go to Israel. PVD plays all around the world. Tiesto needs to leave the Netherlands more.
Prior to PVD in April...1 of the Twiloites posted a thread on Twilo's board: a challenge to PVD, asking that he play a HARD long set like he does in Europe. It escalated to 8 pages. Basically it said that we don't want the same old fluffy trance set that we got in Sept & Nov. The owners of Twilo forwarded the thread to PVD's manager Markus. PVD accepted the challenge & agreed to play till Noon. PVD played the HARDEST I've ever heard. 90% new music. He played every genre: prog house, tech house, break beats, techno, a lil epic trance, prog trance, hard trance. He destroyed us! Ppl were like "is this PVD?" Pvd haters became Pvd lovers. He tore the roof off till 10:30 am. It was absolutely insane!!! I'd sell my body to get all 8 hours on cd. Afterwards I heard PVD was upset bout the challenge. I think PVD's sets are more emotional & powerful. |

well i must say that it wasnt dangerous time in israel - and its a fact that two month before tiesto come and play an amazing set at "zoom" club... maybe PVD plays around the world but dj that afraid to come and play in my country can't be my favorite...
plus tiesto DOES leave netherlands but its good he have a certain place that he prefer - he born at netherlands and that's why he love playing there more...
BTW last month tiesto played in israel at "eylat" and it was much more emotional then PVD sets lately... but i guess it's a metter of taste though... |

Wow an exciting poll... although the voting is 50/50 it seems that the PVD fans are more vocal on the forums. I've seen both DJ's live at 1015 a club in San Francisco. Both are truly talented. But... if you'd rather not listen to me gush about Tiesto skip the following paragraph.
There was something special about that Tiesto set I saw live in 1015 in San Francisco. There wasn't a soul in the entire club standing still. Three solid hours of bliss. He read the crowd like how an adult reads a children's book, effortlessly. Never had I ever seen the club just ripple with such energy, such raw emotion. Several of the less knowledgeble clubbers asked me "Who is this guy... he's ing amazing!"
----yes, it's Tiesto...
I could say almost the same about PVD, he also tore it up and made it hard for anybody to stop moving but he was just missing that one little thing, that magik.
