for the FILE command, you can select from WAVE, MP3, AIFF, BINARY, MOTOROLA. it's case sensitive, and it must be in 44.1khz 16-bit stereo format.

more examples...

quote:
audio CD using multiple audio files (one track per file) with no pauses between tracks

FILE C:\TRACK1.WAV WAVE
TRACK 01 AUDIO
INDEX 01 00:00:00
FILE C:\TRACK2.WAV WAVE
TRACK 02 AUDIO
INDEX 01 00:00:00
FILE C:\TRACK3.WAV WAVE
TRACK 03 AUDIO
INDEX 01 00:00:00
FILE C:\TRACK4.WAV WAVE
TRACK 04 AUDIO
INDEX 01 00:00:00

The files will be recorded continuously with no gaps between them. However, if any file is not an exact multiple of the CDROM sector size (2352 bytes), then the last sector will be automatically padded with zeros. This could result in a gap between tracks with a maximum length of 1/75th second.

ok guys

i have been using cue files for burning audio cds,my question is, is there a program to cut into pieces ,mp3 files of a long lets say 76 minutes album using its cue sheet?

ok... i'm retarded when it comes to cue sheets and burning

so i record my demo, i want to burn it and track it without any spaces so it's exactly like the recording

now, treat me like i know nothing (cause i don't know a whole lot) and explain to me what to do (like what burning prog to use, etc.)

you will have to split the set up into parts, for example 2 x 60 mins for two cd's or if you just want one cd, then you can cut the 120 min set into one 80 min set to fit onto a cd-r.

there are plenty of programs that will cut mp3's such as mp3splitter (might not work with files larger than 100 megs, at least it didnt when i last used it 2 yrs ago)

even HJ Split will split your large file into an 80 min, you just have to enter the few settings.

as for the cue file, just delete the times that exceed the length of the modified (cut) file. then burn as usual.

if you want to cut out the middle part of the set, well then you'll have to find out the correct cue times and modify the cue file yourself before you burn.

i hope this made sense. any questions, holla at me

Yes there is!

It's called musicutter 0.4

Select an mp3 file --> Load the cue sheet --> Next you hit the button "Split now" and it cut's up the original mp3 file in to tracks specified in the cue (don't worry the original file stays intact!).

Now you can just burn the single tracks. Don't forget in Nero to set the pause between tracks at 0 seconds and use disc-at-once to burn the cd.

Ouch!! Time Consumer!!

If you get nero, just set the end index anywhere up to 79 mins (to allow for cd overhead and TOC) then set your start index on the second cd at 79 minutes and work from there.

I don't know if you can set an end index in a cue file, but if you can, it would work similar to the above.
